Chinese schools have recently been conducting experiments with the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in classrooms. Jinhua Xiaoshun Primary School, located in eastern China, utilized special headbands developed by a US company named BrainCo to assess students' levels of concentration. These headbands transmitted real-time data on students' engagement, enabling teachers to personalize instruction based on individual student needs.

Furthermore, AI cameras and brainwave trackers are increasingly finding applications in Chinese classrooms. Cameras are utilized to monitor student behavior and analyze their concentration levels using facial recognition software, which assigns each student a concentration score. The Chinese government is actively promoting the adoption of "smart classrooms" as part of its larger initiative toward "smart learning."

In China, the intensely competitive educational environment has fostered a willingness to explore AI technologies in classrooms. The gaokao, a significant college placement test, serves as a crucial determinant of success, leading parents to seek ways to gain a competitive edge for their children. Consequently, these emerging technologies are being embraced more readily as means to enhance educational advantages.

Scientists at the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) have developed a minuscule silicon LED that has the capability to convert a mobile phone camera into a high-resolution microscope. This tiny LED possesses a light intensity comparable to larger silicon LEDs and was integrated into the world's smallest holographic microscope, opening up a wide range of potential applications.

Furthermore, the research team has created a neural networking algorithm specifically designed to reconstruct objects observed through the microscope. This algorithm, which adopts a form of machine learning inspired by the signaling between neurons in the human brain, eliminates the necessity for bulky traditional microscopes. Consequently, the all-in-one chip equipped with this technology enables the visualization of microscopic objects like microorganisms and tissue cells.

The South China Morning Post reports that China is poised to take the lead in constructing the world's first hyperloop train within the next decade, despite Elon Musk's initial introduction of the concept and organization of the Hyperloop Pod competitions in the United States.

While magnetic levitation (maglev) trains are already operational in various parts of the world, Musk's vision involved running these trains inside vacuum tunnels, potentially enabling speeds of up to 760 miles (1,220 km) per hour.

Although Musk and his companies did not actively pursue the implementation of such a system, the Chinese Academy of Engineering authorities have expressed interest in turning it into a reality. Consequently, the annual Hyperloop Pod competition is no longer being held, as attention shifts towards actualizing the hyperloop train concept in China.

Hyundai Mobis, the parts division of the car manufacturer, has unveiled an innovative technology called e-Corner, which marks a significant advancement in the automotive industry. This groundbreaking system allows for a vehicle's four wheels to swivel up to 90 degrees, either collectively or independently.

Unlike conventional vehicles, e-Corner incorporates motors within each wheel, a configuration commonly seen in electric kick scooters and bikes but rarely utilized in automobiles. By adopting e-Corner, Hyundai Mobis enables cars to achieve impressive maneuvers that were previously unimaginable.

One remarkable capability of this technology is "crab driving," which allows a vehicle to move sideways into a parking space without the need for backing up or turning the steering wheel. Additionally, e-Corner enables a "zero turn," enabling the vehicle to execute a U-turn without requiring a wide turning radius. Another maneuver made possible is the "pivot turn," where the front-right wheel remains stationary while the rear of the vehicle swings outward, facilitating precise and efficient movements.
