I am so happy I found Notion. It has truly changed the game for me when it comes to running a business managing multiple clients.

My Social Media Management Notion template has a main Dashboard that has:
- cute widgets,
- a monthly calendar
-Spotify playlist
- a quick glance at goals
- links to your client pages and your businesses hub

It your business hub you have:
- A content planner
- Pages for - discovery calls, leads, budget, budget, services, branding and more!

For each of your clients there is
- a content calendar database
- analytic report
- content shoot planner
and more!

Learning to unplug is key for me as a freelancer and solopreneur.
Here are my favorite ways to unplug and reset:

🍃 Go for a walk - love my daily walks

🍃 Crochet! Shout out to

🍃 Hang with my dog and my husband :)

🍃 Take a nap - sometimes 30 minutes is all ya need

🍃 Especially if I’m in the mountains - paddle boarding and kayaking

🍃 Read a book 📖

It doesn’t have to be all or nothing. I always recommend starting with 3 posts per week and focus on making them meaningful and valuable.

You can expect to see faster results with more posts per week but that takes a lot of planning and a lot of content creation to make happen but that‘s what I am here for!

Book: The Steal like an Artist trilogy was so so good. This is not just for artists, business owners are creatives so you can get so much value from these! And they’re super quick, I listened to all three via Audible.

Creator: If you follow me then you probably see that I share one of posts atleast once a week. If you want to up-level your life, follow her. She kicks you into gear without making you feel bad about yourself haha

Tool: I originally bought this mini tripod for my new Canon Camera but I also love it for my phone. It is SO sturdy and that’s hard to find in a tripod from Amazon

Podcast: I saved this episode about hiring a long time ago for when I would one day hire someone to help me. I thought that day would never come but I made my first hire this month!!! So this podcast was really reassuring to listen to.

App: I talk about GoodNotes a lot, but I love it and it has some cool new update

Sometimes I get the vibe from local business owners, maybe they’re a restaurant or a business that just runs on local foot traffic or word of mouth and while that’s valid and great there is SO much benefit to being on social media. There’s no quick hack to getting engagement and building community on social media! This all takes time and AMAZING strategy to grow! Here are my top ten tips to get you started:

⭐️Stay consistent: this does not mean posting every day of the week (in fact I always discourage that) but rather posting great quality content 2-3 times per week is a great place to start!

⭐️ Show up in your stories: as the business owner you should be showing up in your own stories. Take pictures of the BTS, answer FAQ’s. Let your community connect with YOU.

⭐️Call to action in your captions and stories: a CTA is always necessary. A simple “head to the link in bio to shop” is an easy way to direct people to where you want them to go.

⭐️Create content that provides value: this takes strategy and planning but at the end of the day if you’re not providing value, no one will care.

⭐️Create mixed media posts: combine videos, graphics, pictures and carousels to see what works best

⭐️Get to know your audience: encourage comments, take polls in your stories, answer DM’s

⭐️Create eye catching posts - work on good quality content like amazing pictures. Good quality video and on brand graphics

⭐️Authentic content - no one like ads, no one likes to be SOLD. Create content to connect not to sell.

⭐️Engage yourself! Go genuinely comment on other accounts you love and follow! Get to know other businesses, followers and creators!

⭐️Review your analytics regularly: analyze your best and worst performing posts and make a strategy to move forward.

✌🏻let’s talk photo editing:

This is a pic from my crochet business so I’ve spent a lot of time editing pictures to look clear, bright, clean and have a super white background.

My go to apps for photo editing are and .app
As much as it helps to practice and get good at editing, at the end of the day the original photo should still be really good so make sure that you:
A) have a clean background
B) amazing NATURAL lighting ☀️by a window is ideal
C) a good camera- I’ve always used an iPhone so don’t think you have to go out and buy an expensive camera, our phones have awesome cameras!

Huge shoutout to the GOAT

For this makeover I wanted to showcase their delicious food by brightening up the pictures they already had. I also wanted to maintain that family friendly neighborhood vibe by having a lot of pictures of staff and customers! They also needed highlights to optimize their page and a better profile picture to see the logo.

A great hack is to also get other ideas from your favorite brands but here are some ideas to get you started planning out your content!

Monday: find out what your audience wants to know with a question box or answer FAQ’s

Tuesday: nothing better than a testimonial!

Wednesday: people love to answer polls! And this or that’s are so fun for your audience! You’ll get to know your audience faster and build engagement

Thursday: share tips or tricks! Be a helpful resource or explain how your product or service will solve their problem. Work on serving your audience with FREE information before you try to sell to them.

Friday: repost things that inspire you or make you laugh- your audience will get to know you

Saturday: don’t assume everyone has seen all your content! Always share old content, posts, blogs and videos

Sunday: share links! What products do you like and recommend? What blogs or articles have you read to help your audience?

Here’s an idea of what I would do to makeover their Instagram! I would make the logo and branding very clearly in their profile picture so they stand out when posting a story. I would also make all the pictures much brighter and clearer with pictures of their food, drinks and establishment a main focal point of their posts to let potential customers know exactly what they serve and why they should go there! What do you think?
