Here is some verrryy valuable information to literally *anyone* 🙃➡️ In order to succeed on any social media platform - you have to provide some sort of value to your audience, and that can be a plethora of things. Unfortunately, there is no step-by-step instructions to do well on social media. BUT, think about the people you follow.... why do you follow them? Are they funny, are they a good resource, are they someone you know, are they motivational, are they aesthetic? ... see where I'm going with this?​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​All the market research you need is at your fingertips!! If you are marketing a product or service on socials, provide your audience with value and watch your numbers flourish 💫

ANNNNND THAT'S WHAT MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND! 🌎​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​This is an important lesson to learn being a social media manager (or literally anyone...) because we have so much "creative freedom" in our roles. Our ideas may be amazing to us but totally awful to someone else (been there, lol). Making sure you are like-minded with the people you work with is important 💫

A question I get asked often is, "Do I need to be posting more?" And while yes, posting often is okay, you don't HAVE to post everyday for better engagement, growth, etc. Now, you definitely need to be consistent on how and when you post, but more doesn't always necessarily mean better 😬​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​And, with that said, I *may* be one of the few people who will tell you this, but YES, you can be posting TOO much 🫣

HEAVY influence on "you pay more attention than anyone else does" !!!!!! 👏🏼​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​I'm starting 2024 with some realness for ya - because I've learned all of these the hard way (.... and are continuing to re-learn over and over 🫣). BUT that's okay, we are all human. I am hoping 2024 brings more hard truths, which is a weird concept... butttt we all need those hard truths to keep us on our toes, push us to do better, and learn and grow. Love ya friends - I'm happy you are here 🩷✨

Posted this graphic a few days ago, and truthfully when I had these photos done, I wasn't even sure if I was dead set on the whole "handwritten" , "authentic" , "imperfect" vibe because - if you know me - you know I like everythinnnnng to look symmetrical and perfect and pretty and everything I feel like this isn't. Truthfully, I've never liked the mindset of a "New Year's Resolution" because it seems so set in stone, like if you make it, you absolutely have to achieve it or you failed. Annnnd as a type 1 perfectionist, that gives me ✨ anxiety ✨​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Sooo, with that said, here is just 2024. Not a resolution but just what I plan on doing. Less negative, more positive, less stagnation, more growth, less comparison, more productivity, less judgement, more love. 🩷

Don't get me wrong, I definitely have goals I *want* to hit this new year, but I think we allllll need to give ourselves a little grace when it comes to that. Not achieving your goal THIS year does not equal failing. It just means that perhaps you aren't quite ready yet - and that. is. okay. 🙃

During my month-ish hiatus (unplanned, BTW), I did a lot of scrolling on Instagram - as one does - and thought to myself, "literally everything looks the EXACT same..." 🙂​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​There are very *few* accounts that actually stand out to me - and of course I'm going to tag them , , are three of my favorites to follow along with. Because they actually stand 👏🏼 out 👏🏼

I've been looking at the hundreds of SMM accounts that follow me and it's always the same thing over, and over, and over.... grey/white/cream graphic, photo, grey/white/cream graphic, photo, and so on. And I am SO guilty, y'all. But I'm ready to leave that traditional/trendy/whatever-you-want-to-call-it behind and start doing what makes me happy and excited and feel creative!! 💕

I challenge you to do what you love, do what makes you happy, do what is FUN (because YES! You can enjoy work and enjoy life everyday!), do what inspires you, create what you want to see - not what everyone else is creating. 💫

Y'all, creating content for my *own* account has been put on the back burner for the last few weeks, I'm not even going to lie. I've been talking to my internet friend - - and I was telling her how drained I am after creating content for all my clients (that I don't even want to do it for myself). 🫠​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​So, I took the weekend, unplugged, and now I am feeling so inspired! 🙌🏼 I sat down and started at the verryy beginning - how do I even create new content. And then that became content 🙃

➡️ How is my ideal clients problem?
➡️ What can I do to solve that problem?
➡️ How will it help them?
➡️ Can I do X differently?
➡️ How can I word this to effectively communicate with my ideal client?

I was just talking to someone yesterday about this - I told her that she got where she is because she stayed relevant. Relevancy is hard because what is relevant and what is not relevant changes everrry single day 🫠​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The best way to stay relevant is to ask yourself these questions - Is it on brand? Will it start a conversation in my DMs or comments? Is it shareable content?

A message I PREACH constantly -​​​​​​​​​
~ Create value (through engaging, shareable content)​​​​​​​​​
~ Be consistent (posting every day doesn't necessarily mean consistency)
~ Be responsive (people want to be heard)

➡️ Here is a comment I received on a recent post - these are all PIECES to the puzzle. Without these things, you won't see other things - like engagement, interaction, growth, etc. 🙃

The best way to view social media (and strategy) is that there are infinite moving parts that having to be adjusted and changed every day. It will *NEVER* be perfect. But you have to show up and put in the effort either way 👏🏼

Let’s clear some things up:​​​​​​​​​
~ Posting consistently ≠ strategy​​​​​​​​​
~ Posting aesthetic pictures ≠ strategy
~ Posting 4x a day ≠ strategy
~ Responding to comments ≠ strategy

You can do everything by the book (as far as social media goes), but having no strategy means you missed the mark 🤷🏻‍♀️. You can be the most consistent, most responsive account on Instagram, but without a social media strategy, it’s all for nothing. 🫢
