Does your content make you want to scream?

Does your content make you want to scream?

For me, the times I struggle most as a solopreneur is when I’m wearing the “content creator” hat and I feel like I’m maybe doing a little too much.

I find myself spending hours churning out content that feels generic, uninspired, and honestly, ineffective. I know I’m not alone in this - many solopreneurs experience this content creation limbo.

It’s so important to remember that content creation can be a powerful tool for your business, but only if it’s strategic, engaging, and resonates with your audience.

I know for me, I need to:

→Focus on understanding my audience’s needs and interests.
→Develop a content strategy that aligns with my brand values.
→Experiment with different formats and channels.
→Most importantly, inject my own personality and passion into my content.

As someone who used to write blog content, I often had clients ask, "Do I really need to reuse my content on different platforms?"

Let me break it down like I told them:

If you want these things to happen:

✅ save yourself some time
✅ reach more people
✅ help your website show up better in searches
✅ remind people of your authority
✅ just have different types of content in general

It's like a smart plan that increases your efforts and lets you connect with all sorts of people in different places.

The Content Circle is here to help you improve your content strategy to reach your business goals, create a community, and grow your business using evergreen (𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈) content so that you can spend more time doing the things you love and taking care of yourself.

I love what I do, and I'm driven by a really strong ‘why’. Recently I've gone through a season of total burnout. I opened 3 new businesses over the past few years and I discovered that staying relevant didn't mean I had to post 3 times a day on social media.

𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲.

I had to figure out a more sustainable way to market my business.

Staying relevant meant creating content that would 𝑨𝑳𝑾𝑨𝒀𝑺 be useful for my audience and customers.

That's where Pinterest, email marketing, and blogging came in. Not only did I not have to devote as much time and energy to social media, but I was able to really 𝑪𝑹𝑬𝑨𝑻𝑬 the content that I wanted without having to worry about trends, follower count, and virality.

I knew that what I was creating was meaningful, educational, and important. Therefore it would always be 𝑹𝑬𝑳𝑬𝑽𝑨𝑵𝑻.

My why is to help other women achieve their business goals with less social media overwhelm so they can have the business 𝓪𝓷𝓭 life they deserve.

Here's what I would do differently today:

Step 1: Define Clear Objectives

Step 2: Conduct Audience Research

Step 3: Create a Repurposing Plan

Having a well-thought-out strategy in place would have saved me time and ensured that my repurposed content was purposeful and aligned with my business objectives.

Question: I’ve never worked with a content repurposing manager before. How does it work?

Answer: Firstly, that’s okay because you don’t really know you need this type of service until you actually discover that it exists!

Let me step you through the journey. It starts with you wanting to make a change in your business and how it shows up online.

As a content writer, I have the ability to help your business show up across different channels by creating engaging and informative content specifically for your ideal audience.

What we do first is have a meeting of the minds where you lay out your goals so that I can determine what type of content and platform(s) would help you best meet those goals.

Next, you provide me with some form of longform content (at least four pieces for a month). This can be blog posts, email newsletters, YouTube videos, or Podcasts. (I offer blog & email writing services as add-ons if you don’t have them)

Then I will use that content to create new blogs, email newsletters, social media posts, Pinterest content, & short form videos.

By the end of the process I will deliver 40+ multichannel pieces of content for you to post over multiple platforms along with branded graphics & caption prompts.

We will use a content management system to review, update, and make approvals.

Finally, we will have a call to go over the content, the strategy, the posting schedule etc. Then all you have to is publish your content.

REMINDER: Just because you can do something doesn’t mean you have to.

For me? This means not trying to show up everywhere all the time with all new content.😳 Can you imagine how overwhelming that would be.

Wanna know what I do instead? I use evergreen content that's easy to repurpose and I use Pinterest & email marketing to do the work for me.

For so long I tried to be everywhere all the time. I'm talking IG, Pinterest, FB (pages and groups), Tik Tok, and even Twitter. But now I know that just because I can do that, doesn’t mean I should, or that I have to.

Instead, by saying "NO" 🙅🏽‍♀️ to overwhelm and burnout, I decided to focus my efforts into showing up where I knew my audience was actively looking for my products and services.

My goal is to show you how to do the same. I'm excited to use this platform to share an evergreen content strategy that focuses on creating more valuable content that your audience will always need and ever better always be actually looking for it.

This allows you to show up everywhere but not necessarily be there 😎

When I first decided that I was going to start charging for my services instead of offering the Free Friends and Family Discount, I was looking at all the other social media professionals and thinking “what secret do they know to grow like this that I don’t?”😕⁣

Growth on social media had never been a priority for me. I was a blogger. Hell, I was a Pinterest girl.⁣

And back then I didn’t know what I do now… and that is that almost every business owner goes through some form of that comparison trap struggle.😩⁣

I remember explaining to my first few paying clilents why I didn't have an Instagram. It was horrible. I made some silly reason about not having time for it because I wanted to focus on clients only.⁣

That was such bullsh*t.😖⁣

I wanted so badly to be a real badass on IG, but I was so damn scared to start. I'm a perfectionist, and weirdly my view of IG perfection is a hug following and let me tell you right now.... that not only leads to a comparison trap but it leads to:⁣

😩Burnout⁣
😞Overwhelm⁣
😨Fear of starting or moving on⁣
🥺Fear of Failure⁣
😢Actual Failure (sometimes)⁣

Back then I thought things were never going to change but I tell you this story to tell you one very important thing…⁣

Things do get better!! 🙌🏽⁣
If you stop comparing your business to others. I promise.⁣

Yes, there are always struggles and challenges, but sucess – over time - bit by bit finally came, and while I am finally starting this journey on social media because I have got to practice what I preach...⁣

Why Do You Need to Repurpose Your Content?

Repurposing your content will help you create touchpoints with potential customers constantly without having you stress out and get overwhelmed by trying to create brand new content around the clock.

Repurposing will help you to create high-quality content and distribute it to multiple different channels. This is a cross channel strategy.

Some and I stress some businesses can survive on one platform alone. This isn't the the norm, it's the exception.

At minimum, your business should have
- a home base like a website or blog - Pinterest needs special mention here
- an email list
- a primary social platform

When I started showing up online for one of my first businesses, it was clear to me exactly what I wanted to achieve. I just didn't know how to do that ⤵

I was looking at all the other business owners and thinking “what secret do they know to grow like this that I don’t?”😕

I remember trying to imitate what others were doing,😩 trying to post on every platform every day, and even worse, I was trying to show up in ways that didn't even resonate with my audience at the time.

Yes, there are always struggles and challenges, but one of the best ways to overcome the struggle of not knowing how to show up is to take a step back and really figure out who your audience is and how you need to speak to them.

Okay, so I know you’ve seen posts floating around that say something like “turn 1 post into 20”…..

The problem is changing the wording and adding different graphics to an IG post is not going to “change” it. It’s essentially the exact same post.

Instead of making a post with the intent to change the colors, you should instead focus on creating one value filled long form piece of content that you can take bits and pieces to use to create a ton of new content that can be strategically placed on every other platform!
