Keeping a safe distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front (a three-second gap) is essential for safe driving. Your speed affects the distance you need to stop safely. When travelling at higher speeds, increase the distance to allow at least five seconds so you have enough time to react and brake.

What are the benefits of a tyre rotation?

1. When your tyres are routinely rotated, wear is spread evenly across all four tyres, which helps maximize tread life. Each specific position on your vehicle requires something different from each tyre.
2. This can lead to more (or less) wear depending on the tyre’s position. More even tread wear keeps the tread depth on your tyres uniform to help keep handling and traction consistent.
3. This can help deliver improved cornering, braking and overall safety.
4. Regular rotations also lets you or a technician visually inspect the tyres for damage. You can also check the air pressure, have them rebalanced if you’re noticing some vibration, even check their tread depth.
