I wrote RETRO basically on dare in fifteen minutes and it's a game I keep wanting to get back to and put some more time into fleshing it out. It's very much inspired by music like Lazerhawk and Gunship, and anime like Akira and Ghost in the Shell. Maybe it's from all the time I spend GMing but I try to take a really engaged and active role as a player. Setting up good layups for conversational dunks, getting positions set in combat to let a fellow player shine, things like that. Be as supportive of the other people at the table as you can, and don't just share the spotlight, but build a better scene so that they can have their moments. I find it comes back around pretty well!

I really love writing games but I've gotten out of the habit. Years ago when I started this I had aspirations to get into publishing ttrpgs, but that fell by the wayside a bit. With AI and layoffs all over the place I'm not sure I'll get that dream realized...but...
