I suffer from anxiety and depression and it's not a good place to be💔😢. Sometimes people don't believe me when I tell them. I struggle; It can be hard to live with me & to be around me when I get like this and I know it. I try my best to control it. I manage to get strong but sometimes I break. So if you see me very quiet, I'm not being rude, I'm not mad at you, you're not bothering me, I may just need a minute to myself.
It's okay to not be okay, tell someone you're not okay. (It's okay).
Hopefully, some friends will put this on their wall. You just have to copy...
Thank you 💚

I was so saddened to learn if the passing of a wonderful woman, Ms. Judith Heumann. It is because of trailblazers and Good Trouble makers like her that I as a woman with a disability have the opportunity to live independently in my home with my son and use my lived experience to support others to do the same.

To learn more about her amazing life visit

Judith Heumann is an internationally recognized leader in the disability community & lifelong civil rights advocate for disadvantaged people

Advocacy alert from United Spinal Association.....

For the first time, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has proposed expanding coverage to power seat elevation equipment on certain power wheelchairs.
We need to show Medicare that wheelchair users and people with disabilities strongly support this coverage and urge Medicare to go even further to ensure that all those who need access to these systems can get it. As you know, these systems are vital for wheelchair users to be able to:
Safely transfer from a wheelchair to another surface, particularly if it is not level with your chair;
Increase your reach to access higher surfaces across the home;
Prevent and reduce stress injuries from repetitive transfers and reaching; and
Function independently at home as much as possible.
Also, please describe how seat elevation is needed for functional reach in your home.

If the greater society continues to have conversations about diversity and developing a greater cultural competency, yet continues to see Disability as an afterthought we are doing ourselves a great injustice.
