During our "How Can I Become a Gardener?" episode we brought up concepts around cultivation in the sense of cultivating our character or our way of life. To help emphasize how all the virtues are interconnected (because God's energies are all moving toward a single end) we are in the drafting stages of our next episode which will focus on one aspect of being a peace maker or acquiring peace.

The popular contemporary sentiment “be true to yourself”, calls for authenticity, are nonsensical.

What we say & do is who we are. Who we really are. There isn’t some “true” us hidden behind those things being kept at bay.

This sentiment denies our capacity to mature, repent, & to be in a state of becoming & seeks rather to trap us, crystallized, forever as either who we were yesterday or as some platonic ideal we can & will never actually manifest.

It is a deadly idea.
