I know the feeling.

Some love him and others hate him. I was once in the camp of those who hated him. I didn’t see any reason for him to act the way he did when fans accidentally moved or made a noise. Then at the 69th U.S. Open Pete was exchanging words with, what he said was a young boy, in the crowd and uttered the now famous phrase, “Who do you think you are? I am.” The thought I had was how could a grown man act that way towards a young boy? I thought that was it. There was no reason to like him, I didn’t even see why the PBA let him bowl.

With High School Bowling season just around the corner, the Lancaster Golden Gales are holding their team Tryouts November 7th-9th. Tryouts will be held at Tiki Lanes in Lancaster Ohio. The times for the tryouts are from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Congratulations to Pete Weber of St. Ann on another player of the year award.Despite battling a recurring back injury, Weber finished inside the top 25 in 12 of 13 PBA 50 tournaments, while winning one title at the Bud Moore PBA50 Players Championship and averaged over 221 for the season.

The Southeastern Ohio USBC (BOWLING) is hosting their Annual Strike Out Breast Cancer Fundraiser with us this Sunday. They want to raise awareness about this disease, encourage everyone to take steps to catch it early and raise funds to fight it.

We encourage you to come out to support those battling cancer, have fun while knocking down some pins and take part in the raffles for items donated by local businesses. There will be 2 shifts: 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.

Funds raised are donated locally to the Fairfield Medical Center Foundation.

We look forward to seeing you this Sunday!!!

The Columbus Marathon kicked off at 7:30 a.m. with cheers from the crowd of runners and walkers, who began the 26.2-mile race and 13.1-mile half-marathon routes. Excitement and anticipation filled the air as the runners made their way around the scenic route, which took them past many of Columbus' iconic landmarks. The finish line was reached by thousands of participants, who were greeted with cheers and applause.

Running The Columbus Marathon this weekend is a dream for many people, like a local Central Ohio resident, Juan Simo, a Venezuelan-American, because it is one of the largest and most prestigious marathons in the United States.

Parents and Guardians. Empower our Youth Foundation is hosting a fun engaging fall program called EPIC Kids Literacy/STEM Academy. The program will begin on Saturday, November 12th from 12:30pm to 2:30pm in the Gym. The program will last for 7 weeks. The program is free.

The Focus of the program is:
Empower our Youth Foundation efforts are focused on encouraging both peer and social emotional wellness through STEM Activities, Literacy activities, physical fitness and arts/crafts and more.
