The National Museum of Singapore is not only a long-standing museum but also one of the most prominent national monuments in the city. Formerly known as the Raffles Library and Museum, the National Museum of Singapore was originally a library segment of the Singapore Foundation from 1849 to 1887 when it was moved to the current building by Colonel Sir H.
