An outage is planned for Atlanta that will impact some customers on Saturday June 25th from 6 am to 8 am. The church (Christ Way) will be out approximately 6 hours. Impacted customers will be receiving a call today notifying them of this outage.

The outage is needed so line workers can safely complete work on electrical facilities that help bring power to your neighborhood.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Spring cleanup in full swing in Atlanta May 9th through May 13th

FREE CURBSIDE WASTE COLLECTION!!


Atlanta City Manager David Cockrell said that free bulk waste curbside collection is scheduled in Atlanta from May 9th through May 13th. “Residents will be serviced on their normal collection day. So if your normal trash collection day is Monday, then your bulk waste will be collected on Monday”, Cockrell said.

“This is a great opportunity to make the community more attractive, get rid of unwanted junk and save money and time by avoiding trips to the landfill”, Cockrell said.

Acceptable items include household furniture, outdoor furniture, clothing, green waste (properly bagged), sticks and limbs that are bundled not exceeding four feet.

There are some limitations. The City will not accept any appliances, electronic waste, TV’s, tires, paints, oil, batteries or other hazardous waste. The City also reserves the right the refuse any item deemed to pose a health or safety risk. Unacceptable items will be left at the curb.
