Picked this little combo up yesterday... both the keyboard and mouse feel so good to use! The mouse is ultra-responsive, and the keys on the keyboard feel robust and are also very reponsive. I'm very happy :D

In this video i'm taking my first look at "In Death: Unchained on Oculus Quest. This is an excellent example of what a Quest game should be, with great visuals and addictive gameplay. It's competitive too, with online leaderboards so that you can keep track of how your score compares with that of your friends. The game now has smooth locomotion, which really adds to the game. I did terribly on my first try of this game, but i'll improve......
This is still one of the best 'Coaster' games you can play today, and showcased by one of the best Streamers you can watch. So do yourselves a favour....., go and 'Like', 'Comment' and most importantly, 'Subscribe' to the awesome powerhouse that is GamertagVR!! :)

Let the games begin!
Did you watch the big Playstation 5 reveal event last night? What did you think? I didn't get to watch it all, i only saw the games that they showed, and personally i didn't really see anything that screamed "NEXT GEN" at me. Yes, the visuals were good, but not a massive leap from what we see now. What i saw made no mention of VR, although they did show some footage of a new "Astrobot" game, which i'm assuming is a VR title, and there was some footage of "Resident Evil VIII" which i'm also going to assume is a VR title. The new "Gran Turismo" looked amazing, but unless it has full VR support, it's nothing more than 'eye candy' really.
There were some great game concepts in there, and some that i'm really looking forward to, just based on gameplay. Were you blown away by this event, or were you left feeling disappointed?

It seems like i'm banging my head against a brick wall in my search for an affordable wheel and pedals for my PC. There are plenty of them around, but i can't afford a new one, as much as i'd like to, with the work situation at the moment. I've found plenty of used ones, but they're either out of my price range, or cheap enough, but too far away! 😡
Currently in the process of downloading "SkyrimVR" and "Borderland 2: VR" on the PSVR! I'm lokking forward to trying these out :) I'm sure a video will be going up soon enough ;)

In this video, i was testing my setup, and seeing if i could live stream to YouTube successfully, which i did! I know, i've live streamed a number of times before, but that's just been gamepley. This was something different, this was just me, being myself and just chatting in front of a camera. There's a little bit of a buzz coming from the mic, i'm not sure where that was originating from. This was just a test, to see if i'd set everything up correctly, in preparation for more in future........
I'm trying to get back into sim racing, but it's not easy using a controller. I desperately need a steering wheel!

In this video i take a quick look at the Kiwi Design Q9 Earmuffs, and the 15ft/5 metre Quest Link cable. The Earmuffs attach to the sides of the Quest, fitting over the Quest's external speakers and focus the audio down into your ears, where the sound becomes richer and more 'immersive'. It's a definite improvement over the Quest's standard audio solution.
The Link cable was surprisingly good! I tested it with "Stormland" which is notorious for producing judder and stuttering effects when played with Oculus Link. There was hardly any of that when using this cable, it wasn't really noticeable at all in fact, providing a very smooth gameplay experience.
Overall, the Kiwi Design products are well made, and work well.

In this video, we're taking a look at a fantastic game called "Anciet Dungeon". Still in it's beta stage at the moment, this is a dungeon crawler that i had heard great things about, so i had to give it a try. Considering this game is still in beta, it's very polished and runs very smoothly. The Minecraft style graphics lend themselves so well to the Quest, and despite my initial reservations, work really well. Don't be put off by the 'blocky' art style, this is a very polished and 'current' game. Every time you enter the dungeon, things are totally different, as each time you play the game is procedurally generated, meaning that replay value is particularly high. There are zombies to kill, plants that spit out deadly poison, strange creatures that bounce towards you and attack. You have throwing knives that work particularly well, and a sword that feels very satisfying to use. All in all, "Ancient Dungeon" is a seriously enjoyable and very well executed game, and one i would highly recommend.

In this video, we're continuing our adventures as a young wizard's apprentice in the appropriately titled "The Wizards". We join our hero as he takes on a terrifying and massive 'Revenant'. Armed only with his fireballs and shield, he eventually defeats his enemy, and returns to the safety of the sanctum, where he gains strength, before finding himself outside the ruins of a castle. Once again, his usual foes are there to 'welcome' him. There is seemingly no way forward, until a mysterious wormhole appears.........
Having survived the 'Norhtern Star' hotel, Alyx emerges into a firefight with combine soldiers and gets attacked by man-hacks. Managing to defeat her foes, she ends up in another abandoned building. This time, the building is set with trip mines that need to be defused. Alyx manages to find her way out of the abandoned building, and finds more combine soldiers intent on killing her...
I was downloading a game while streaming, (which i hadn't realised), so the stream is a little 'glitchy' in places, so apologies for that.

I've just been playing some more "Half-Life: Alyx", but this time i was playing wirelessly with Vitual Desktop. For some strange reason, i seem to get a much smoother frame rate when i use Virtual Desktop, than i do when using my link cable, which doesn't really make much sense to me. I'd have thought the worst peformance would have been when playing wirelessly...?

I've just been playing "Eve: Gunjack" on the Samsung GearVR. It's a fantastic space shoot 'em up with great graphics and exciting gameplay. I'll have a video shortly :)
