Looking for an easy and healthy breakfast recipe? You’ve come to the right place!☺️
Appe are made from Suji/Semolina and they’re super healthy. You can make stuffed appe or plain. Also, you can experiment with the stuffing as well. 🧡🌿
RECIPE-
🌿 Take 2 cups Sooji/Semolina in a bowl and add 1 cup curd and 1 tbsp salt to it.
🌿 Mix it and add 1/2 cup water to it. Mix it again. Let it rest for 15 minutes. (The batter needs time to rise).
🌿 Once the batter rises, it’ll have a very thick consistency. Add 1 cup water to get the desired consistency and keep it aside.
🌿 For the tadka, heat 1.5 tbsp mustard oil till it loses its pungent odour. Then add 1 tsp mustard seeds to it, 1 dried red chilli, and some curry leaves. Turn off the heat after 30 seconds and add the tadka to the Sooji Batter.
🌿 Mix the batter evenly and keep it aside.
🌿 Let’s make the stuffing ~ 250 grams paneer/cottage cheese, 2-3 finely chopped onions, 2 finely chopped tomatoes, some fresh coriander leaves and spice mix ~ 1 tbsp salt, 1/2 tsp haldi/turmeric, 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp coriander/dhaniya powder, and 1 tbsp kitchen king masala/maggi masala.
You can use potatoes as well instead of paneer.
🌿 Make small balls of stuffing and keep them aside.
🌿 To the batter, add 1 small packet of Eno and mix.
(❗️Remember, you need to cook it right after adding Eno otherwise the batter will lose its richness and won’t be fluffy❗️)
🌿 To make appe, you need an Appam Pan. We bought it from Amazon.
🌿 Heat the pan and add 1/2 tsp ghee/clarified butter to each mould. Then add the batter to each mould, one stuffing ball, and then batter again. Put the lid on and cook for 3-4 minutes on low heat. Then flip the appe and cook again with the lid on for 3-4 minutes.
🌿 And they’re ready! You can enjoy them with chilli sauce/coconut chutney/schezwan sauce.
🌿 We usually enjoy it with @chingssecret Schezwan sauce and it tastes wow! ☺️💜

YOU GUYS NEED TO TRY THIS!!!!🤤🧡✨
This delicious Veg Tandoori Gravy is super easy to make. We used Paneer/Cottage Cheese, Mushrooms, Capsicums, and Onions. You can skip the mushrooms if you want.
RECIPE-
🥘 For the marinade, we need 1/2 cup curd. Whisk it till it becomes smooth.
🥘 To the curd, add 1/2 tsp turmeric/haldi, 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp coriander/dhaniya powder, 1/2 tsp jeera/cumin powder, 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp ginger-garlic-dried red chilli paste, (1 dried red chilli) and salt as per taste. You can add kitchen king masala if you have it, we added a tsp of Maggi masala.
🥘 Mix the spices and add 1.5 tbsp Mustard Oil. Remember, mustard oil adds a smoky flavour to the veggies so don’t skip this step!
🥘 Add the veggies and mix the marinade properly. Let it rest for 30 minutes.
🥘 For the tandoori gravy, heat 2 tbsp clarified butter/ghee and 1 tbsp olive oil in a pot (or any cooking oil). Add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds/jeera seeds to it.
🥘 Then add 2-3 finely chopped onions and 1-2 green chillis. Sauté till golden brown.
🥘 Add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste to the onions and sauté. Then add 1/2 tsp coriander powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric/haldi, and 1 tsp salt. Mix mix and add 1/2 tsp red chilli powder. Then add 2 cups tomato purée. Mix it and put the lid on. Cook it on low flame.
🥘 Let’s get back to the marinated veggies. Heat 1 tbsp oil in another pan and add the marinated veggies. Cook it on high heat and keep mixing in between so that it does not stick to the bottom of the pan. Cook it till the the water dries out.
🥘 Once the marinated veggies are done, turn off the heat and add them to the gravy in the pot. Mix mix and cook it on high heat for 2-3 minutes.
🥘 Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and enjoy it with roti/naan/rice! ☺️🧡
