Protest: On behalf of the President Tinubu, I say sorry to NLC for the reckless statement.

In a trending TikTok video released by Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor (FoNS) otherwise known as Ultimate Equal, the President of One Love Foundation, Senior advocate of the masses and voice of the voiceless.

Dr. Eholor has condemned the statement made by President Tinubu, called the statement made by the president in Lagos on Thursday during the commissioning of Red line train a reckless statement.

President Bola Tinubu who accused the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) of playing politics with its recent nationwide strike action and said it's unacceptable.

In the viral video, Eholor condemned the tone and the statement of the president by telling the Nigeria Labour Congress to come in 2027 election.

The statement by the president reads:

"Allow me to throw a jab here. The Labour Union should understand that you are not the only with freedom and rights.

“If you want to participate in the electoral process, meet us in 2027. If not maintain peace. You are not only voice of Nigeria.”

Dr. Eholor in the video said "I don't like NLC and I have told them to disband it that they are toothless bulldog, if it is in an ideal society, you cannot insult the whole of the NLC, you said you were part of NADECO, that you are a democrat, if there is no opposition to check you, how are we going to call your office a democratic administration? The statement is a reckless one and I wondered what a self acclaimed former NLC President, Oshiomole says about this, now you are with the Mr. President as your paymaster, he insulted the whole of the NLC, well I don't like them because they have not been able to shut this country down, whenever they plan protest, they retreat and the government never had respect for them.

"I wondered why Eric Adams Oshiomole has not make any statement, condemning Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for making that reckless statement to NLC.

"Men and women there who are humble and dedicated to the struggle of this country, I apologize on behalf of Mr President, I expected Mr Adams Oshiomole to say something.

Demanding Accountability: Chief Dr. Patrick Eholor Calls for Transparency in Palliative Distribution by Rt. Hon. Esosa Iyawe

As Nigeria grapples with the economic challenges exacerbated by inflation and rising prices of goods and services, the plight of the masses has become increasingly dire. In response to the hardships faced by the people, the federal government, under the leadership of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, initiated palliative measures aimed at providing relief to citizens across all constituencies in the country. However, concerns have arisen regarding the equitable distribution of these palliatives, prompting Chief Dr. Patrick Eholor, the founder of One Love Foundation, to demand transparency and accountability from elected representatives such as Rt. Hon. Esosa Iyawe, Member of the Federal House of Representatives for Oredo East Constituency in Edo State.

*The Economic Challenges Facing Nigeria.

The Nigerian economy has been grappling with inflationary pressures and rising costs of goods and services, placing a heavy burden on the populace, particularly the vulnerable segments of society. The increasing prices of essential commodities, coupled with stagnant wages, have made it increasingly difficult for many Nigerians to make ends meet, leading to widespread hardship and suffering.

*The Role of Palliatives in Alleviating Hardship.

In recognition of the economic challenges facing the country, the federal government, led by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, implemented palliative measures aimed at providing relief to the masses. These palliatives, which include food items, cash transfers, and other forms of assistance, were intended to alleviate the suffering caused by inflation and rising costs. However, the effectiveness and fairness of the distribution of these palliatives have come under scrutiny.

*Demanding Transparency from Elected Representatives

As elected representatives tasked with advocating for the interests of their constituents, individuals like Rt. Hon. Esosa Iyawe bear a significant responsibility in ensuring that palliatives reach those who need them most. Chief Dr. Patrick Eholor, through One Love Foundation, is demanding that Rt. Hon. Esosa Iyawe disclose crucial information regarding the distribution of palliatives in Oredo East Constituency. Specifically, Chief Dr. Eholor is calling for transparency on:

1. Beneficiaries: Who received the palliatives? It is imperative for constituents to know who benefited from the resources provided by the federal government to address the economic hardships caused by inflation.

2. Timing: When were the palliatives distributed? Timeliness is crucial in ensuring that aid reaches those in need promptly, particularly in the face of economic challenges.

3. Distribution Process: How were the palliatives distributed? Was there a fair and transparent process in place, or were resources distributed arbitrarily?

*The Importance of Accountability and Transparency

Accountability and transparency are fundamental principles of good governance and democracy. Without transparency in the distribution of palliatives, there is a risk of resources being mismanaged, diverted, or allocated unfairly, exacerbating the suffering of those already facing economic hardships. Elected representatives must be held accountable for their actions and decisions, particularly when it comes to the allocation of public resources intended to alleviate the plight of the masses.

*The Path to Transparency

To achieve transparency in palliative distribution, Rt. Hon. Esosa Iyawe must take the following steps:

1. Public Disclosure: Provide detailed information on the beneficiaries, timing, and distribution process of the palliatives distributed in Oredo East Constituency.

2. Independent Verification: Allow for independent verification of the distribution process to ensure its fairness and integrity.

3. Community Engagement: Engage with the community to address any concerns or grievances regarding the distribution of palliatives and solicit feedback for future initiatives.

*Conclusion

Chief Dr. Patrick Eholor's demand for transparency and accountability in the distribution of palliatives by Rt. Hon. Esosa Iyawe is a call to uphold the principles of good governance and serve the interests of the people. In the face of economic challenges caused by inflation and rising costs, it is imperative that elected representatives act with integrity and transparency in the allocation of resources intended to alleviate the suffering of the masses. By demanding transparency, Chief Dr. Eholor is advocating for the rights of citizens and striving to ensure that relief reaches those who need it most.

I do not know anything about abure's arrest- Dr. Olumide Akpata

Edo State Governorship aspirant of Labour Party, Dr. Olumide Akpata has made a press release about an allegation made against him yesterday by another aspirant, Barr. Ken Imasuagbon, the statement by Imasuagbon regarding the arrest of Labour Party's national chairman, Edo State chairman as well as other officials.

In a press release by Akpata, it reads below:

"I have been made aware of reckless and unfounded comments made by Mr. Kenneth
Imasuagbon in the press yesterday, February 21, 2024, where he accused me of being
behind the recent arrest and detention of Comrade Julius Abure, National Chairman
of the Labour Party, Comrade Kelly Ogbaloi, Edo State Chairman of the Labour Party,
and other party officials by the Nigeria Police Force.

"Let me categorically state that these allegations made by Mr. Imasuagbon, who claims
to be a lawyer and should therefore know better, are completely false and, frankly,
very irresponsible. I had absolutely no involvement whatsoever in the arrests he
referred to. As we have been told by the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police
Force Zone 5 Zonal Headquarters, the arrests stemmed from an entirely separate
incident that occurred in Benin City on December 29, 2023, where one Comrade
Anselm Eragbe, a former National Youth Leader of the Labour Party, was allegedly
assaulted.

" Comrade Eragbe thereafter submitted a petition on the attack, accusing the
arrested officials of orchestrating the incident. It was this petition that prompted a
police investigation and subsequent arrests.
I must make it clear that I have no connection at all to this unfortunate matter,
beyond also being falsely accused on national television on December 29, 2023, of
being responsible for the incident involving Comrade Eragbe. As someone falsely
implicated in this matter, I have a strong interest in the outcome of the police
investigation in order to clear my name fully.
Given the timing of the arrests just 48 hours before the Labour Party primaries
scheduled for February 23, 2024, the last possible day for political parties intending to
field candidates in the September 21, 2024, Edo State Gubernatorial elections to
conduct primaries, it raises some very serious concerns. It is imperative that the party
be able to conduct free, fair, and smooth primaries as planned on Friday, February 23,
2024.

"I strongly urge the party leadership to explore all lawful options as provided by
the party's constitution to ensure the activities and operations of the Labour Party
continue without obstruction. The party must urgently release the final delegate list
from the ward congresses of Tuesday, February 20, 2024, which were monitored by
INEC. It is worrying that we still do not have full delegate information more than 24
hours after the congress.

"I want to use this opportunity to caution Mr. Kenneth Imasuagbon to cease his
campaign of falsehoods and calumny against me, which he renewed with vigour o"

Unveiling Financial Misconduct: A Closer Look at Malpractices Across Multiple MDAs

In recent developments, the suspension of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Betta Edu, by President Bola Tinubu has stirred public discourse surrounding allegations of financial impropriety. The revelation that she authorized the transfer of N585.2 million of public funds into a private account has sparked concerns about financial transparency within government entities.

However, upon thorough investigation conducted by the One Love Foundation, it has come to light that such malpractices extend beyond Ms. Edu and are prevalent across various ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) in Nigeria. Our analysis of data sourced from Govspend, a platform dedicated to tracking government expenditure, reveals a staggering figure of at least N159.6 billion being channeled into private accounts by MDAs over a span of six years.

While these findings do not absolve Ms. Edu of any culpability, they underscore the systemic nature of the issue within the Nigerian government. Notably, the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta emerges as a significant offender, with a total payment of N8.3 billion made in 130 transactions to Ebikabowei Victor-Ben, a former Niger Delta militant.

Additionally, the Nigerian office of the New Partnership for African Development, aimed at poverty eradication, is implicated, having disbursed N1.5 billion in 111 transactions to Afangekung Mfon Okon.

Numerous other MDAs have also been found to engage in multiple transactions funneling public funds into private accounts, including the Ministry of Information and Culture, Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy, Ministry of Power, Ministry of Women Affairs, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).

The prevalence of such irregularities extends into recent years, with over N13.6 billion being diverted into private accounts in 2023 alone, in violation of Nigeria’s Financial Regulations 2009. Noteworthy instances include the Office of the SGF, Ministry of Women Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning, and various parastatals.

For instance, the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta directed N4.72 billion into individual accounts of camp leaders in the Niger Delta region, amidst ongoing socio-economic challenges.

Despite mandates for oversight, several MDAs have been embroiled in controversy. The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development have come under scrutiny for disbursing at least N918.5 million into private accounts. Similar irregularities have been observed in the Ministry of Finance, Budget, and National Planning, and the Ministry of Women Affairs.

In light of these findings, it becomes imperative to address systemic flaws and enforce accountability measures. Nigeria's Financial Regulations 2009 unequivocally prohibit the transfer of public funds into private accounts, emphasizing the importance of transparency and ethical conduct in financial management.

As we delve deeper into these issues, the One Love Foundation reaffirms its commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance in Nigeria. It is essential to hold those responsible for mismanagement of public funds accountable and work towards fostering a culture of integrity within government institutions.

Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor: A Voice for Accountability and Justice

In the ongoing battle against corruption and the pursuit of accountability in Nigeria, few individuals embody the spirit of unwavering determination and fearless advocacy quite like myself, Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor. My steadfast commitment to justice has positioned me as a prominent figure in the fight against corruption, garnering attention for my bold recommendations and unwavering principles.

In a recent statement, I made headlines with a powerful declaration: recommending the death sentence for corrupt politicians. While my stance may be viewed as controversial by some, it underscores the deep-rooted frustration felt by many Nigerians who have long suffered the consequences of rampant corruption. My call for severe consequences for those who betray the public trust sends a clear message: the era of impunity must come to an end, and accountability must be upheld at all levels of governance.

Amidst my call for accountability, I also extend recognition to individuals who courageously speak truth to power. Among them, I commend Femi Falana and Bode George for their unwavering commitment to justice and their bold critiques of the status quo. By acknowledging their efforts, I highlight the importance of solidarity in the fight against corruption, emphasizing the need for individuals of integrity to unite in pursuit of a common goal: a Nigeria free from the grips of corruption and injustice.

FUTA: EFCC should release FUTA Students with immediate effect; Father of Nigerian Students, President of ACS to EFCC.

The Father of Nigerian Students-FONS, Chief Dr. Patrick Osagie Eholor otherwise known as Ultimate Equal has called both the EFCC to release the students arrested in Federal University of Technology, Akure.

The EFCC operatives who broke in the FUTA on Tuesday to raid or arrest some students, this is very wrong as it is a violation of the university rule. Although if there is a reason or reasons why EFCC or any other security agent should arrest Students on any campus, the permission has to be given by the school authority, lead by the Vice Chancellor.

Dr. Eholor said in his statement that "We need to reform all our security operatives not just the Nigerian police, this video captures EFCC Operatives invading Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) at night.

"This is very wrong in an environment where laws do work. EFCC raiding university at Night and he the University Chancellor is doing nothing about it? It clearly shows that the student in that university are not safe.

"As Father of Nigerian Student I hereby call on the university chancellor to do the needful by writing to the EFCC boss to effect the release of those student with immediate effect and also sue the EFCC to court for undermining the VC authority and bringing weapon into a student environment.

"And to the EFCC Boss you should do well to go through the right channels before you invade any university, why not invade those politicians that are corrupt? Corrupt politicians are walking freely while you are chasing after our youth. We all must resist this and teach EFCC how to their work since their boss cannot stand up and call his boys to order!

"Nigeria cannot continue especially the security Forces, they are the Defence of every country of which are supposed to protect the people and not oppress them.

Speaking with the the National President of All Campus Show(ACS) Nigeria, Hon. Busuyi Ojo-Jobus also condemned this act by the EFCC operatives, he also lamented the situation of this country as he emphasize on illiteracy as one of the things that kill Nigeria.

In his words, he asked the EFCC to "...release Students arrested in 24 hours and they know what that means, we cannot be displaying madness and think it is normal, what is the excuses that the EFCC will give for trespassing the campus law? are they not learned, didn't they know what it means to violate law, our students are not thieves, we produce the best Students in the world and if there is anything you need from any student on campus, you will go through school authority, not just behave like illiterate, and this should be the last time that should happen, it is a warning, not a threat."

The Marginalization Of Edo South

This study looked into the marginalization of Edo south by past Governments of Edo State (including Adams Oshiomhole & his former godson, Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki the present governor of edo state). This marginalization is primarily from the political and economic perspective.

Edo South consist of seven local government which include, Oredo, Ovia South West, Egor, Ovia North East, Orhiomwon, Ikpoba Okha and Uhunmwode local government areas. This is a mere 38% of Local Government Areas even though Edo South controls more than 54.74% of the State land mass, 58.52% of registered voters and generates more than 95.10% of FAAC revenues!

The economic and political marginalization of the Edo South under the Governor Godwin Obaseki is not subtle, it is an active and deliberate effort designed by him for his own selfish ambition.

The more than 7 years of Godwin Obaseki administration has been hell for the people living in the
grassroots in Edo South as they didn’t not either speak on their behalf or bring development to them.

When Governor Godwin Obaseki was sworn in as the Governor of Edo state the atmosphere then was quite tensed as there was misunderstanding between Governor Obaseki and Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomole and as a result of that, Governor Godwin Obaseki out of his own selfish ambition and power drunk, ordered the Edo state Housee of Assembly located at RingRoad (Edo South) in order to disrupt the swearing of members, with that urgent renovation the people living Edo South suffered lot of set back due to the fact there was no one to represent them.

After his four years tenure in office Godwin Obaseki decided to conduct local government election and then some months back Governor Godwin Obaseki at about 2am in the middle of night he called all the senators, the ones he felt he can control, to reck more havoc than good. He sworn them in with immediate effect excluding the Labour Party members.

Moving forward do you know that Edo state have about 4,779.900 population and Edo South alone is 2,470,900! this is verifiable via the United Nations 2022 figures.

Now the distribution of of revenue allocation to Local Government council by the Federation Account Account committee in August 2023 for Edo state as an example, the fact is total money that was disbursed was 5,655,845,678
While the ones that was disbursed to Edo South is 2,490,755,657.

Now LGA Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) through Edo south, Generated 82.6% of IGR. Edo South have 58.52 of registered voters which means that Edo South have lot of voter compared to other Geopolitical regions. Edo South gets 44.03% of revenue allocation. Even though Edo South contributes 82.6% of IGR and 95.10% of FAAC Revenues!

Also, all Federal positions from Minister to heads of federal agencies from Edo State are controlled by others. Edo South has NOTHING! Edo South pays the piper, but remains an economic victim! A Majority that is forced to kneel for others!

With the above it now very evident that Edo state affairs as it affects Edo South negates every definition of equity and justice. Instead, it greatly manifests the marginalization of majority by the minority.

With all of these we shall all come together and say rejectemental to Asue Ighodalo or the quota system which is currently in the lip of most aspirants.

The 1999 constitution of Nigeria is the only supreme law that we follow and the constitution do not give rooms to the called “ Quota System”. Enough is enough Edo indigene let us come out in full to campaign and support the person that can deliver, we should not be distracted with quota system.

We must not vote in another person that will draw the state backward more than the current crisis
