garden is a favorite and makes us want to try alllll the plants. She gives great advice on everything from how to keep pests away to the best time to try new varieties. Plus, she loves to bring her son into the garden with her and influence so much of what they grow together.

is one that thrives with an amazing garden even when space is limited in the suburbs. She has all kinds of great content about making gardening work for you in whatever space you have and how to live off the land year round.

is a new account discovery for us with a sweet family that shares all of the highs and lows of life and their journey homesteading. The intentionality they take with their kids and the love they have for the land makes them fun to follow.

When your foodie side and nature-loving side collide. Who else can’t wait for their camping trips this year?

The best thing you can do to get kids interested in the garden actually starts inside, in your kitchen. Cooking with kids and letting them have a hands on experience is the first step to getting them excited to grow their own food. The more they understand how to prepare yummy things, the more they will have interest in all the steps before that too, like growing their own fruits and veggies. When they can make the correlation that work out in the garden equals a future yummy snack or meal, they get a more holistic view into why we plant and also gives them a vested interest into what your family chooses to grow.
