Google AdWords Tips for Campaign Optimization when it comes to search ads 🚀
1. Pausing 'dead-weight' keywords.
Not every keyword that you are targeting will work for you. So what to do about that? After running for 2-3 weeks (I usually prefer 2 weeks) sort the keywords based on the clicks they have got.
Now see which one is just getting clicks but not sales. Don't run them for long. Pause them. You can also pause the keywords based on the CTR as well.
2. Adding new negative keywords from the search term report.
Nowadays exact match keywords are also more like phrase matches. You will still be going to get a lot of irrelevant search terms.
So keep on checking them & remove them. You can choose phrase or broad match if you dont want any related keyword apart from the one that you are removing.
3. Adding new targeted keywords from the search term report.
Keep on checking your search terms. People say to check it on a weekly basis, but I check on a daily basis.
Dont just limit your keywords list. There will always be many search terms unexplored. So keep on adding new keywords in your list.
Make sure you optimize your ad-copy according to those keywords as well on a regular basis.
4. Adjust your device bids to increase your campaign conversion rates.
Go to the devices option in your campaign. You will see mobile, computer, & tab options there.
Based on the data you can increase & decrease your bid limits. If you see that from any of these devices you are just getting clicks & not conversions. You can decrease the bid accordingly.
Similarly, if you see that from any of these devices, let's say you are getting more sales from mobile, then you can increase the bid limit to give it more push.
There are many many other optimization tips that I wasn't able to cover.
