Wowza! It feels like it’s been a while! Toooo looong! 😅

So… for something to look forward to and get us through the winter it’s with much excitement and gratitude we share the poster for the next installment of DRR ‘business end’ sonic contact!⚔️

Back once again with our lovely hosts at we are very grateful to be welcoming a few new faces to the dance 🛸
dvf is joining us to roll out for the crew selecting from her fine jungle vinyl crates and holding down the microphone alongside DRR resident we are very excited to have both and .thewobmudda who will each be showcasing their respective unique and versatile hosting / vocal skills for us on the night! 🎤

Back-up comes from the DRR regulars and who will be bringing their beautifully deep, dark and engaging sonic ruckus as standard including tastes of forthcoming releases!⚡️

Entry is FREE and we run from 22:00 until 03:00 and we will be very happy to welcome you on the night! 🤗

Warm vibes, superb sound and bass faces a-plenty! 🤪

This is just the first DRR event of multiple planned for 2025 so strap yourselves in and let’s goooooo!!! 💚💛🧡❤️💜💙

As we count down to tonight we want to do everything we can to make our event a safe and inclusive space for everyone. We are delighted that all staff at have completed training with the lovely people at and the venue is an accredited space. We encourage anyone who needs support to approach a venue staff member or one of the event organizers Joe and Ed (in the next slide ➡️) who can facilitate support from venue staff if/when needed. Our intention is to have as safe a space as possible so we can have as much fun as possible! 💛

Last year an email came through to DRR with a very exciting selection of demo music. Naturally syncopated drum patterns, restrained development, stunning mix downs and a lovely deep, dark vibe across all the tracks. Enter ⚡️

Over the following months we received more music and had a smooth back and forth about tracks, structures and forthcoming releases and events. The end result: Sqimer provided two fantastic tracks for the new EP, stepped up as mastering engineer for the whole piece, had one of his tracks played by legend , had a premiere on this week and he’s flying up from France to play his UK debut for Dark Red Records in Manchester this Friday! 🌍

Thank you for doing so much to make this EP happen mate! Manchester is very excited to welcome you! 🎧🐝❤️‍🔥

We met Mr Klemit hosting for Manchester bass neighbors last year and we were delighted to have him come and debut for us at our last event at where his presence and skills rounded out the DRR performance piece perfectly ❤️‍🔥

We’re stoked to have him on board again, holding down the mic in positive and easy style as we celebrate this next chapter of the label 🎤

A chance encounter buying studio speakers brought our friend Ed AKA into the DRR fold and we’re very grateful to have him bring support to the label as he shares the load of making our next event happen! ❤️‍🔥

Bristolian is the force behind a YouTube channel, a record label and a show on all falling under the same brand alongside his work as a DJ, visual artist and event organizer as part of the crew ⚡️

is a super-hard-working champion of underground bass music and we are not only very grateful to be working with him but also continually inspired by his dedication and focus, not to mention the fact he’s simply a lovely fu***ng guy! 🙌🏼

When was still in the womb about 3 years ago it was imperative that it had a strong brand identity in order for it to be properly birthed. We needed a designer who fully understood the music, the ethos and how to create an aesthetic that made sense and Glen came up with the goods right away! 🙌🏼

Not only has Glen provided beautiful branding and artwork for our events and releases, his presence has also been instrumental in terms of bringing his passion and skill as a DJ where he has become a solid feature at DRR events, drawing on his background as a musician and producer plus his deep Love for vinyl across multiple genres, laying down weighty, vibey sonic foundations at every event 🏗️

We are, as ever, delighted and grateful to have Glen on board once again as he steps up for another B2B with at on 19th April ⚡️

We first met .newman at one of our events a year or so ago and felt an immediate click with her. Seeing her obvious raw energy and passion for the music we were mega excited and keen to work with her as soon as we could! We are very grateful that time has now come!🔥

Born in Sheffield with a base in Manchester - Mondo Radio and Reform Radio Resident Zubz has been killing it in the North as of late. Having supported acts such as Sherelle, DJ Storm, Samurai Breaks, Alex Perez, DJ Flight, Chimpo and more, Zubz is no stranger to tearing up the decks and meddling in the multi-genre universe. Mixing everything from melodic 2-step to squidgy acid to tech jungle, whatever the weather you know you’re going to be in for a treat⚡️
