Muammar and his companions advanced with the first lines, from the dawn of the great fateh. Who Am I ?

I am Muammar Mohammad Abu Minyar Al-Gaddafi also known to many as: Brother Leader and The Guide of The Al-Fatah Revolution. I was born on the 7th of June 1942 near Sirte during the Italian colonial era to a poor Bedouin family. I became an Arab nationalist whilst studying in Sabha and later enrolled in The Royal Military Academy in Benghazi. Whilst studying in the military I founded The Free Officers Movement to topple the Western-backed Senussi monarchy of Idris El-Senussi which had brought great hardships to Libyans and had sold the country to foreign colonialism.

Having toppled the reactionary government of Idris El-Senussi on the 1st of September, I and The Free Officers Movement worked on implementing the aims of The Al-Fatah Revolution. We formed The Revolutionary Command Council (RCC) and worked on removing those populations that had conspired in sending our folk to the hanging frames of Italian colonialism and those that had colluded with the invader – through their treachery and deceit their presence amongst us was no longer tenable.

I and my comrades in The RCC worked on: removing foreign bases, re-nationalising our oil supplies and social programs for our people; which emphasized on: house-building, healthcare and education project. In 1973 we declared ” The Popular Revolution” and the formation of Basic People’s Congresses, presented as a system of direct democracy. We worked on supporting noble liberation movements around the world. Our support for these projects put my life and that of my comrades at risk.

My martyrdom on the 20th of October 2011 at the hands of Misratan militias backed by NATO has plunged Libya into chaos and destruction.
