Did anyone else notice this MASSIVE plot hole in Shang Chi??⁣⁣⁣

On the surface, Shang Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings is a fun movie that adds a nice element to the next phase of the MCU.

BUT....

Grey is not impressed by the final CGI fight scene, Jim thinks there are really weak plot points and devices and CJ still hates Tom Holland.

Jim made a revelation (or relevation??) regarding Thanos' interaction with Eitri on Nedivalir.

It would seem that Thanos may have promised that Eitri's people would be spared if he made the Infinity Gauntlet for him. As we know, that's not what happened.

Did Thanos go back on his word? Does he know how to lie after all? Is Jim way off base???
