Christian Muntean also stresses that sustainable leadership stems from personal well-being. He believes leaders have an obligation to maintain their health and avoid neglecting their families and communities. He argues that leaders who focus on taking care of themselves are better equipped to be strong and supportive influences in the lives of those around them

Finally, Muntean offers advice on sustaining success, suggesting that leaders need to build systems and structures that develop teams that can function effectively in their absence . He believes that leaders should strive to build teams that enhance performance rather than foster dependency.

The feeling of being alone or the only one is real and can have catastrophic effects if not addressed through support groups, spouse, family, etc.

Deb Steltz Mueller’s book, “Love Hard” is transparent and full of insights on how to navigate personally and collectively through the journey of raising a child with mental health challenges. “Love Hard” provides encouragement and instruction while increasing Mental Health awareness and support.

These struggles stemmed from both personal and professional pressures, which began during a particularly stressful period in his career. Whoismikelee recounts the physical manifestations of his mental health issues, such as insomnia, lack of appetite, and constant fatigue, which exacerbated his emotional state and impacted his daily life and relationships.

A pivotal moment in 's journey occurred when he hit rock bottom and realized the necessity of significant changes in his lifestyle and mindset. He sought professional help, including therapy and counseling, which provided him with tools to manage his anxiety and depression. Finding a therapist who understood and supported his specific needs was crucial to his recovery. In addition to traditional therapy, Mike explored alternative treatments and self-help strategies, becoming an advocate for mindfulness practices such as meditation and yoga. These practices helped him regain control over his thoughts and emotions, while regular physical exercise served as a therapeutic outlet.

Whoismikelee also addresses the societal stigma associated with mental health, particularly for men who are often expected to suppress their emotions. He emphasizes the importance of breaking these stigmas by sharing experiences and seeking support without shame.

Throughout the podcast, Whoismikelee's journey is portrayed not just as a personal struggle but as a call to action for greater mental health awareness and support. He encourages creating a supportive environment where individuals can openly discuss their mental health without fear of judgment.

A Phenomenal story

Born in Iran, Dr. Amir Rashidian Mid Atlantic Chiropractic Center witnessed firsthand the atrocities of war. The Iranian government was overthrown. Iran became the Islamic Republic of Iran and the world as he knew it changed. He was 6-years old when Saddam Hussein’s Iraq invaded Iran and thus began the air-raids and bombings.

Dr. Amir Rashidian's father wanted to bring his family to America. Every summer Amir’s father would take their family to a different European country with the hopes of obtaining a visa to the United States. Each time they met rejection and had to return home.

Finally, at age 11, Dr. Amir Rashidian’s Mid Atlantic Chiropractic Center family was given permission to enter the United States of America. In August of 1985, Amir and his mother landed in Los Angeles with two suitcases and $500.

Before leaving Iran, Amir Rashidian’s dad wanted to teach him about poverty and life in the underprivileged regions of Iran. It was here that Dr. Amir Rashidian Mid Atlantic Chiropractic Center decided to become a doctor, to save lives and prevent unnecessary death he witnessed in the village. Specifically, a young pregnant woman die in her husband arm, because there were no Doctors there.

Dr. Amir Rashidian’s journey to fulfilling his childhood declaration contains many twists and turns. On this episode of Paralysis to Purpose, he candidly shares the obstacles and the victories he experienced along the way, including battling deep depression and suicidal thoughts to becoming a follower of Jesus Christ.

On November 2, 2011, Vincent Rutley, actor, playwright and musician, survived a near fatal accident that severed his spinal cord. Diagnosed as a paraplegic with traumatic brain damage, the doctors prepared him for the worst by telling him he would never move his arms or legs again. He viewed this tragedy as an “Assignment” not a “Punishment”.

Vincent Rutley comes from a strong family of faith, and has a strong personal relationship with God, so in the doctor’s report didn’t deter them from expecting the best.

Believing that God would perform a miracle, Vincent Rutley began his journey of recovery. It was a few weeks after his surgery, that the miracles began. Feeling and slight movement in his right arm, became a full range of motion. Later, his left arm and wrist became functional.

In 2014 Vincent Rutley returned to the stage play production “Street Corner “which he wrote, produces and starred in, from his wheelchair. “Your disability doesn’t change the fact that God made you, YOU! The journey may be 10 times tough, but you can fulfill your wildest dreams. The car accident didn’t paralyze my love for acting. I didn’t lose my love for acting because I use a wheelchair now.

Vincent Rutleyt doesn’t deny the reality of the challenges that come with his spinal cord injury, but he refuses to let it dictate the quality of his life. He has learned to lean on his support system, spearheaded by his wife, who he was engaged to at the time of the accident. His goal is to become the most sought-after quadriplegic actor in the business
Thirteen years after the accident, Vincent Rutleyy still believes that God will work a miracle and he will walk again. In the meantime, he is committed to living life to the fullest.

A Trailblazer on Ice - Anthony Walsh

The story of an adopted black hockey player!

Being adopted can be an uncomfortable conversation, but not for Anthony Walsh, JD , author of the children’s book “Hockey is for Everybody.” Raised in Minnesota, Anthony was introduced to Hockey at a young age by his adopted parents. (“Mom & Dad”). When asked about his experience growing up as an adopted child, he is glowingly states he is grateful for being raised in a loving, nurturing and progressive family.

However, as the only African-American and adopted player on his hockey teams, hearing teammates talk about their parents, grandparents, etc., Anthony wanted to know who he was, where he was from…his biological family. He wanted to be able to give an answer to the Doctor when asked about his “family medical history”.

Anthony’s journey of self -discovery took years but ended with him finding his biological family before going to law School. He found the missing piece and missing peace in his life. A bonus was learning he was related to the great Marvin Gaye.

Anthony, an attorney in Minnesota, is proud to be the product of a “blended family.” He has embraced all aspects of his life experiences and continues to use Hockey as a platform for change.
