I always had a month-to-month lease. Throw the first year my children and I have been terrorized by drug activity. Being harassed by the neighbors and so on. Every year it did get better. I am being singled out by this property manager. Our friend in 20 heard her saying nasty things. Like she was going to get me out. In the video we have her saying runaway, runaway, and hide. She said I was getting on her nerves after asking her to clarify. The owner John told us, on January 7, 2021, I asked,” Are you going to raise the rent, are you going to kick us out? “ he waved his hand, he stood right in front of me I was on the stairs, and he was on the sidewalk in black, he said “ oh no none of that, no one’s getting kicked out or their rent raised. We are going to make it better to live here, the only thing is that there are going to be property managers. You call them for maintenance, and you call me if there is any problem call me. I asked him if I could my garden and he said yes.
On April 4th, He came again we were introduced to the property manager here and he told us I could keep my garden, and then there was a dispute about the fire pit, and she cut off me from talking to the landlord. We asked John if he was kicking us out and he said no. We were cooperative in every way with both John and the property manager.
I never was allowed information on where and how to get ahold of the new landlord himself.
The property manager seemed to be a delight to be around, and she was telling us good stuff. At first, she said we going to get new kitchen new bathrooms, and new appliances. I told her we really were not going to stay because my daughter is graduating on June 22, 2022. But for me and Keith because of the nastiness and she changed and told us that we were going to have raise in rent, but she said we would gradually then she changed it again. And everyone here except me got a letter to that effect for July. I make more than the rest of the residents here.
I get 1.260 a month from ssdi
My daughter gets 588. A month from SSI
Keith gets 219. Dss
Child support 388. A month
However, my daughter is in the process of getting ssdi which will bring her about the same as me. In the meantime. My daughter will receive the max benefit of 890. Sai until she gets ssdi after she graduates, and I won’t have child support.
The property manager lied to us, deceived us, defrauded us, and trick us and when I said something to her, she basically called me a liar. She also told me I was getting on her nerves. I do have it on videotape from our security cameras that she said the runaway thing to me. I do have a video of saying that to me. And I am willing to bring in the residents of this building as witnesses. She also was talking about us. My Spanish neighbor in apartment 20 said she was threatening us and making rude comments in Spanish. She did like it when I told her work crew who were doing roofing on apartment 24 that it was ok to use our water hose. Which I pay for water. And she was nasty to me about that as well.
We are disabled adults I am almost 50 years old.
I have PTSD and diabetes which require refrigerated medication.
My daughter Amber, even though she is over 18 years old suffers from
Scoliosis and breathing problems due to that scoliosis/ she has a 60-degree curve of the spine and neurological disorders. and major depression as well PTSD. And she is still in high school at this moment at Enfield High.
The notice to quit was 7 days and when we got in was down to five days too short of notice to quit. I am being singled out by this woman. She sent me a weekly reminder, that I owed a past balance of 130. I do not have a record of owing Jeff Foss. I have my rent receipts going back to 20 12. I had previously rented from him from Dec 2012 to Sept 2015 at 22 pleasant street. I never had been late once on my rent. I paid 1000 dollars, and she wanted 1130. I agreed to it, and she was okay with that. I don’t have a good enough car to drive to West Springfield to give her rent to her and then as for mailing it, if it would get lost in the mail then I will still be responsible for the rent. I told her she needed to come and get it.
She was shouting out of her black-type SUV at my boyfriend when he was trying to talk about the rent.
There was no warning that this was coming down the pike. I told her several times I wanted to speak to John the landlord and she refused to give us that information. She told me on April 4th, 2022, that our lease was going to be renewed. I do cameras in my house, and they recorded that. She is a bully, she is insulting, and she is not a professional at all. Speaking about Rauch Management. And be suing her personally and Coast and Country management llc. With all our videos and witnesses.
I cut my foot on the kitchen floor and I called her, and she said it was not her problem is what was there before they bought the place. She told me she was going to order another floor, however, she Geno the contractor put silver-tape coving the crack of the floor which I am allergic to.
As for the renovations that are due to this house, she told us that we wouldn't be able to stay in our apartment and that she was going to put our stuff in the garage the gassy smelly garage she told that our neighbor and we weren't about to put our paintings and our expensive stuff moved into a smelly gassy garage and then she told us that we were going to be who was going to have to leave. I asked who was going to pay for the hotel and she said that was our problem period and that we wouldn't be able to live here by the renovations weren't going on. I am on the waitlist for almost two years at Montgomery Building in Windsor Locks Ct. we have been waiting and we are almost there. I have no family or friends to live with or to help me find a place. I am requesting because of our disabilities we should be provided with a lawyer. I want 3 to six months to move out. I cannot pay a lot of rent at the time. If in fact, she told us that there was going to be a rent increase to more pay or we would have to leave we would have been forewarned, this comes out of nowhere. I have several videos of us being harassed. On April 20th, 2022, Mark our neighbor called me a fu***ng bitch, she told us to call the police. I have 150 videos of being harassed by the neighbors and I have had that for a very long time and recently too.
I told her we were leaving, I cannot pack up a three-story apartment, in less than five days. We have been looking for an apartment ever since the landlord was selling the building, we cannot find a place to and certainly have no money with me having to pay half for my insulin to get one on the snap of a finger. The 20 days’ notice to quit, is what was deserved. If I leave town my daughter cannot graduate.
