A couple months ago, Blake’s neurologist had informed us that he is not as developmentally there as kids his age and that he is falling behind. His neurologist told us he needed to have learned at least 10 words (this was 2 months ago). As of today, Blake has reached/learned a total of 33 words that he can speak!

Jasper William Jordison made his appearance November 16th, 2021 at 8:33pm.

I had my weekly OB appointment earlier that day and I showed up having a bloody show. My OB checked my cervix and immediately sent me over to the L/D unit in the hospital to be monitored. When I showed up to the L/D unit they had informed me that I was at 5cm. The nurses had me then get in the whirlpool bath in hopes of relaxing my body enough to get Jasper to move further down and help dilate me more. After an hour in the whirlpool bath I got out and the nurses rechecked me and said I was now 6cm. So, they called my OB and my OB decided to have me get admitted. About 15 minutes after getting admitted, my OB showed up and ruptured my water to get things progressing. In a matter of 30 minutes I went from a 6 to an 9 and was having a ton of contractions. Paully had to bring Blake over to Meme and Papa’s house and by the time Paully arrived at the hospital it was 8pm and I had Jasper at 8:33pm...Paully barely made it on time! When I was 8 1/2cm I asked for some pain meds and they gave me 1 dose of fentanyl, but because I was so far along already the meds didnt help my pain at all. I got to 9cm and was begging for the epidural, but again I was too far along so I had to go all natural. I ended up having Jasper on all 4’s rather my back and zero tears with no epidural. And after 2 minutes of pushing Jasper was in our arms.

My original plan was to have zero pain meds and no epidural. Technically I did go without pain meds since they didn’t work. But, I am very proud that I was able to deliver Jasper with no epidural 🥳
