Unless you’re Ryan Gosling, starting a page without a niche, branding, and/or strategy is not going to get you anywhere. but it’s the truth.

While I fully believe that anyone can take their passion and create a thriving Social Media page around it, I also know that it takes work, clear focus, and a skill set you’re not going to pick up just by following the advice that all the IG “gurus” throw at you.

Listen friend, sales don’t have leave you feeling like a sleazy salesman! You can do it in an authentic way by using your content to help lead a potential client to through the process.

No “hey girl” messages.

No “are you going to buy or not!?” pressure.

No feeling guilty because you sold them something they didn’t want in the first place.

Are you using social media as the ULTIMATE Sales Funnel???

When used correctly, social media and the content you post should *always* be moving people towards a specific goal; which is an action! (I.E. a sale, a sign up, a reach out, link click, etc) Your goal is dependent on your objective, but nonetheless your goal should always to be to motivate your audience to action!

So, how do we do this?

By using these 3 steps! 😍

1) Attention; use your content to capture at their through valuable information meant to help reach your target audience. 💥 Brownie points if it introduces or cultivates awareness of your offer without it being the main point 🙌🏻

2) Interest; as you continue to share content people begin to see how they could benefit from your offer. This stage usually comes with questions, conversation, requests for more info, etc.

3) Desire; as you continue to talk about your offer and how it could help your audience and show results peolle begin to WANT what you’re sharing. Which move them through to the final phase;

4) ACTION 🙌🏻 woot! You did it!

How are the sales going? What’s your biggest hurdle?

When I first got started with making money through social media I was totally convinced I STUNK at sales.

Fast forward to the present and I’ve realized EVERYONE can be good at sales with the right techniques!

Over the years I’ve sold a lot of different products, programs, etc and realized it’s all about the technique! Using positive (not shady) methods I’ve been able to;

👉🏻 Create a sales funnel that works night and day on auto-mode to help sell my products

👉🏻 Bring in hundreds of new customers to a challenge based program of my own design

👉🏻 Enroll 65 new customers to a net work marketing team in ONE MONTH

Oh hey gram fam -it’s me! 🙋🏻‍♀️😅

Yes, I’m aware that it has been WAY too long since I’ve posted on this account and I have a podcast episode launching this Friday that is going to explain A LOT…But just in case you don’t follow my lifestyle account , let me just give you a quick overview;

This summer has been the hardest of my life; just when I thought things were starting to calm down and I was ready to come back to social bam 💥 (quite literally) we got in a motorcycle accident and have been dealing with the aftermath of that for the last 3 1/2 weeks 😅🥴 friends…I can’t even. Like literally.

But I’m coming back whether I’m ready or not because THIS is what I love to do and I miss it!

Thank you to everyone who noticed my absence and reached out. Thank you for being patient with me and thank you to all my students too. I miss all of you and can’t wait to help you continue your journey of understanding the algorithm and learning how to turn your passion into a thriving page here on the gram.

Why these work and details 👇🏻

1&2 are pretty straight forward; find accounts similar to yours (who’s followers you think may be genuinely interested in your content also) and collaborate in some way. Story shoutouts work really well for this because the account owner is encouraging their followers to follow you too 🙌🏻

👉🏼 Collaboration Etiquette; try to find an account with a similar sized following account as yours so that the collaboration is mutually beneficial. Also, it’s best if you have some sort of relationship with them beforehand so it’s not a cold reach out.

3, giveaways. Doing small, targeted giveaways can be a great way to gain new followers who may truly be interested in your content but beware of using this strategy too often as a forced follow is never as good as someone who CHOOSES to follow you. If you choose a group of friends on the gram who you vibe with and do a very specific giveaway that would appeal to all your audiences, then you’re more likely to get people who actually are happy to follow you.

👉🏽 In other words don’t do mass giveaways for something general like an iPhone where there is no target audience and a “celebrity” host. These will never serve you well.

4; this is a HUGE hack that I’ve realized a lot of people don’t know about! USE LOCAL HASHTAGS! People who live near you are more likely to be curious about/interested in someone into their region and follow along.

👉🏾 When geotagging towns -for safety purposes- I choose to tag larger towns near me NOT the town I live in.

When was the last time you did a page audit!?

Truthfully, while it can be very helpful to have an outside set of eyes check out your page; you also can do it yourself with the right questions.

Honestly I audit my account at the beginning of every month to make sure my trajectory is still on course and I’m clear about my messaging, my sales strategy, my content, etc. It helps bring me SO much clarity!

Sit down today and answer these simple questions!

PS) don’t be afraid to repost or redo old content (I.e. 30 days or more!) People need to see things over and over and if it performed well once, it most likely will again! Plus, it helps optimize your time 😍🙌🏻 Work smarter; not harder!

Gotta admit that I’ve struggled with them all.

I used to think if I wanted to be a SAHM I wouldn’t be able to contribute to our family’s finances 👈🏻 LIE.

I used to think I had to wait until my kids were older to pursue the passions God placed in my heart 👈🏻 Nope.

And I also thought when I first started growing a business on social media that I had to join hustle culture and be on my phone 24/7 to make any money 👈🏻 Not true.

Listen mama; your passions and income dreams can become a reality, even while you’re raising children and spending the vast majority of your time with them 🙌🏻

I’m not kidding when I say that is *the* most important piece of information I have learned over the years! I fully regret just launching my platform Willy-nilly thinking I would some how magically make money 🤣 I really had no plan other than partner with brands (which isn’t a bad plan, just unreliable)

Luckily I have actually learned how to actually use the influence I’ve gained online to create multiple sources of income for my family; my newest one brought in $20,000 in 3 months 😅 Lol yep, it was a shock even for me.

🚨 REELS VIEWS ARE DOWN! (And they’re not coming back 😅)

Remember a few months ago when everyone’s reach and views suddenly plummeted and we all wondered what this “glitch” was all about? Yeaaaaaah hate to break it to you, but it’s not a glitch, it’s an algorithm change 😅 (which IG likes to throw at us periodically anyways ha ha)

So if you’ve been banking on those magical Reel views because IG has been promoting them above any other type of content you’re going to notice a lag because they’re NO LONGER being promoted by the algorithm 🤷🏻‍♀️ which means 👇🏻

1) You need to have a better growth strategy

2) Quality of content is more important than ever

3) Start using ALL types of content to see the best reach and growth

If you’re going to people who’s only aspiration is to put away money so they can retire at 60+ and “go live life”………..you might be on track to do the same thing 😅

Not trying to belittle or poke fun here, but I DO want to bring some perspective.

I spent too many years looking at those around me for advice and answers when none of them were actually doing what I wanted to be doing!

So instead I shifted my attention to listening to a new circle who was already where I wanted to be; that’s when change started happening.

GET OFF THE HAMSTER WHEEL!

Let’s face it, opinionated content is good for engagement 🙌🏻 I know a lot of people are afraid to use it because they think it’ll repel people….EXACTLY! And do you know WHO it’ll repel? People who aren’t your target audience. On the flip side there is no faster way to attract your target audience like sharing an opinion they can relate to. Will you be trying this strategy?

Are you stressed about the potential TikTok ban??? First off, let me just say I doubt it’ll actually pass 🤷🏻‍♀️ The US threatened to ban TikTok before and it didn’t happen, and seeing as though 24 is shaping up to be a rerun of 2020, I don’t really think this will happen. But…if it DOES, are you ready? Personally I’ve never really liked the app so my half-hearted attempts to grow there have mainly been to “save my name” on the platform. BUT I DO feel for the thousands of creators who have used that platform to gain their following and it is a source of income for their family 🥴😬😳 I would be horrified if something like this were to ever happen to IG. So what can we do? In the Influential Mama course I tell my students to ALWAYS claim their name on every platform and to cross post content as a lazy way of building a following on more than one platform; even while focusing their strategy mainly on building here on the gram. So if you have your main following on TikTok I would encourage you to use this time to move them over to another platform! Have them sign up for your email list or something similar so you can keep in touch 🙌🏻
