Every piece of content you put out should have some kind of a goal and a CTA is how you encourage people to take action to reach that goal. 🙌

You might think that CTAs are too obvious and you really don’t need to *tell* people what to do, they'll just know, but usually that's not true. Our attention on social media is so short, it’s important to say what you want, and say it LOUDLY.

If you see a caption saying
➡️“Check out this stunning new studio set up”
It won't generates as much traffic as a caption saying
➡️“Check out this stunning new studio set up. Click the link in bio to book your shoot today! ”
You see what I mean, right? Tell them what you want them to do!

✨How do you know which call-to-action to use?
This should be determined by the goal of your Instagram post. I hope you are not just posting for the sake of posting. If you are...let’s talk.

But anyhoo, if you know you want traffic, you have to use something that makes people take action and go to your web page. 👩‍💻 If you want engagement, there are a little more creativity and options, encouraging likes, shares, story interacts, DMs, etc. 👍

“When you’re marketing to everyone, you’re marketing to no one.” The phrase has been around forever and I’ve seen it recently making its rounds again.

I’ve seen a lot of information lately about defining your ideal client by creating a client avatar. How old is your ideal client? What do they do for work? What’s their income? Etc. But these are just demographics, numbers on paper to put people in neat little boxes. 📦 📦 📦

❌Ditch the Demographics! Maybe this works for selling products but YOU are selling an experience!

Luxury photography and more specifically bo***ir photography isn’t just as simple as selling a pretty picture, it’s about selling a memory, a moment, a life change.

✨Think about your clients values and passions, they may all come from different backgrounds but they’ll still have things in common. Think about your own values and the “why” behind your business. The area where all of these overlap, that is your ideal client.

Align your message with what your ideal client can FEEL, things that speak to their soul. 🖤

Here's a quick tip that will help you with your copy! Try using voice notes! 🗣

We often get so stuck in wanting to sound “professional” that we forget we’re speaking to other humans. 👩‍💻

✨Be relatable and authentic. Think about those words you use all the time, what slang do you use, what local idioms? And don’t be afraid of filler words either, you know the ones your English teachers cringe at? (ex: like, um, well, just, etc.). Write like you speak and your audience will connect. 🖤

It's easy to get burnt out on social media when you're trying to post consistently. Instead of creating a new post each day, spend some time brainstorming and then select one day to sit down and create weeks worth of content. 📅

You can use a social media scheduling tool like Meta Business Suite or Planoly to help take the posting stress off as well. Set it and forget it.
