Ok, call me lazy - I call it genius.
The way my setup is, my “work area” is on a different desk adjacent to where my machine is.. I can’t reach my Cricut without getting up. So while in the middle of something, like making a bunch of favors for my sons 1st birthday party - getting up and down gets old, fast. So, I altered my back scratcher to a single finger (the best one might I add) and I can now reach the buttons without getting up. Looks absolutely ridiculous, but Such a time saver! 😂

I figured out a cheat to print and cut a larger image in DS. Go to the drop down under your name at the top right, choose settings, then choose load type, change print then cut page size to 11x17. You can then cut an image at 7.75 x 9.95. Just be sure to position your image as far to the left and top as you can. I’ll post a video in comments. This is for print and cut on 8.5 x 11” paper to maximize the use of the paper. - by Valerie Collins Billingsley

Last year I was storing my machine in my closet and all my supplies in cardboard boxes in my bedroom and every time I wanted to use it I had to haul it all into the kitchen. I’m sooo excited to finally have a dedicated area for crafting!!!

Here's how I made this 15inch DT peep into Hello Kitty!

1. Find a coloring page of hello kitty's face and screen shot it. Then crop it down and import into DS and clean up once design space converts it.

2. I made my face 6 inches and offset the eyes and nose and only used the offset to press on.

3. Cut the ribbon away from the face and iron on. Iron on one side of the whiskers and then the next side. Iron on the eyes and nose made from the offset one at a time carefully placing over the existing peep eyes.

4. I used my mini press at medium for 10 seconds with full weight pressing.

* i started early this year but I have to prepare everything myself and we have to send some as gifts

Thanks to this wonderful group I had to try my hand at making sensor covers for my libre 3 cgm.
I sublimated on hypafix then created a pattern in cricut to cut them out.
The picture of the libre on my wrist is an old sensor I just put it there to test my sizing.
I based my dimensions off of a sensor patch available on amazon and then added the tabs for a little more security as my sensors like to come out early.

If you don’t rate this a 10/10, we might have to battle. 😆 What do you think of my Pokémon shadowbox?

In February 2020, right before COVID enveloped the world, my husband came home from work and said, 'Babe, we’re buying you a Cricut [machine].' Mind you I had zero idea what a Cricut [machine] was - I didn’t even own a glue gun at that time! 😱 Crafts? Not this lady. It took about two weeks of him insisting every single night before I finally relented and bought a Maker (with ALL of the tool offerings and extra materials). Well let me tell you, he created a monster. Years later, my husband had to build me my own craft room in our home because I out grew the small basement table I started on. Anytime my husband lovingly jokes 'where you gonna be? Oh that’s right! Playing with your Cricut!' I like to remind him he was the reason why I bought it in the first place! Pic of my craft room to show how invested I’ve become in my Cricut crafts!
