I’ve started a gratitude journal recently

I’m going to write 10 things I’m grateful for every day.

At first it was hard but really it comes quite easily the more I do it.

There is so much to be grateful for, even this book that I’m writing in that I got super cheap on Amazon.

Cliché, I know. We’ve all heard it at least once.

“Everyone is special”

No, none of us are. At least not to the world.

How you matter to yourself in this life is what counts.

At the end of the day, YOU have to show up for yourself.

Nobody can force you to get out of bed in the morning or eat a nutritious meal or drink enough water.

You need to make that decision for yourself.

So when are you going to do it?

When are you going to show up for yourself?

This is one of my favorite breakfast foods that my husband taught me how to make.

Super simple and easy to do; even with little kids around! Chicken and apple sausages, or the jalapeño mango chicken sausages for a spicy kick and crescent rolls makes a super sweet pigs (chicken) in a blanket.

Growing up besides special occasions or going out, we only had cold cereal for breakfast. Typically Chex, Kellogg’s or Coco Puffs if I was lucky. Mom was a dietitian so she limited the sugary cereals well.
Cereal was often accompanied by a banana and/or yogurt. If I got up early enough I’d slather some good ol’ peanut butter on toast and rush out the door.

Now that I have a family of my own and work from home, I’m learning how to take my time in the mornings and appreciate the opportunity I have to be with them.

I’m so grateful for this opportunity to be home with them while they’re small AND make an income. No daycare or babysitter, only slumber parties at grandma’s.

Today is garbage day and I managed to get all of it out this morning. WHEW!!
