Then we moved to the cozy town of Pai for 2 nights. About 3 hours of travel, but after Chiang Mai, mountains and hard serpentine begin. More than 50 km along the serpentine is such entertainment even with a good vestibule. There were hot springs and canyons and just a lot of beautiful views.

Yesterday we wanted to go to Chiang Rai, but the journey was 5.5 hours from Pai and in fact it was necessary to return to Chiang Mai after passing all the same serpentines and then another 3 hours from it to go along new serpentines to Chiang Rai. Here we have already passed and left it for the next time.

Therefore, choose the final route either Pai or Chiang Rai. The whole journey from Pattaya to Pai is 950 km, but with stops it was very comfortable. And back we somehow imperceptibly one day overcame 850 km in 9.5 hours. We stopped for the night in the province of Suphanburi and are now on our way to the Kwai River and further to Hua Hin.

We moved to the first northern location of Ayutthaya from Pattaya. The way was fast about 3 hours. It took us 1 day to see everything here. I wrote more about it in a previous post.

Next was Sukhothai, the most ancient city on the road, we spent about 4.5 hours. There is also a detailed post and 1 day was enough for us.

Then we wanted to stay in Lampang, but we realized that there was nothing special to do there, we saw the sights along the way and continued our way to Chiang Mai. But here we have already stayed for 4 days, maybe more, we have not seen everything here. It's a pretty decent city. The entire review is saved in current stories with the name "North of Tai"

The month flew by quickly. We spent most of the time in Pattaya, then a week on the island of Koh Chang and traveled around the North of Thailand in 8 days.

I will tell you in more detail about the route in the North of Thailand. It is just as touristy, it’s just that people who are fed up with the sea or who are far from visiting Thailand for the first time are already coming here. I don’t even remember what my visit to Tai was, maybe 15-20, but we also just now got to the North. And since this time we arrived for 80 days, we can afford to see the country.
