👉A Dhaka court has issued summons against three BNP leaders, including its Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, asking him to appear before it on July 14 in a case filed on charge of instigating students for creating anarchy during movement for road safety in 2018.

📰Two others are BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed and its standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ashek Imam on June 12 passed the order after accepting the probe report submitted by an inspector of Tejgaon Police Station.

📰Of the total affected health workers, 24.30% were technologists and 22.8% nurses, said the study on "Psychological Impacts, Wellbeing, Associated Factors and Coping Strategies of Health Professionals during Covid-19 Pandemic in Bangladesh," conducted by the National Institute of Preventive and Social Medicine (NIPSOM).
The health education directorate funded the study.

⚖️Rail communications of Dhaka with the country's northern part and Khulna were restored 11 hours after derailment of a train at Gazipur's Kaliakoir upazila last night.
The train services resumed around 10am today after two bogies including the engine of Dhaka-bound Panchgarh Express from Panchgarh have been recovered, Stationmaster of Kaliakoir railway station Shahinur Rahman Shaheen confirmed.

📰The bogies were derailed soon after the train crossed Kaliakoir station around 9pm yesterday (May 27, 2022), halting train movement between Dhaka and northern districts and Khulna, said Joydevpur Railway Junction In-charge Rezaul Islam.

⚖️The High Court also reduced the fine imposed on Salim by half to Tk 10 lakh. He will have to spend one more year in jail if he fails to pay the fine.

📰In 2007, the ACC filed a case against Selim. On April 27, 2008, a Dhaka court jailed him for 13 years and fined Tk 20 lakh. Selim moved the High Court against the verdict. 👉The man who ‘embezzled Tk 2,500cr’ was posing as an Indian, defrauding banks there too; Momen says he will be brought back to Bangladesh.

📰Prashanta Kumar Halder, who has been on the run from facing charges of money laundering since 2019, was arrested along with an associate in West Bengal yesterday.

⚖️In cases filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), PK Halder is accused of swindling multiple non-banking financial institutions out of more than Tk 2,500 crore. The ACC will take measures to bring him back to the country as soon as possible, said its chairman Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah.

👉A r**e case was filed against two men for gang-raping a woman overnight while making her husband hostage at a mess in Gazipur's Tongi on May 13, 2022.

📰OC Javed said one of the accused Shafiqul called the victim's husband from his house and took him to the mess on May 13. Half an hour later, another accused Firoz Miah called the woman and r***d her overnight, he said. The accused duo hailed from the TNT Bazar area in Tongi.

⚖️The victim filed the r**e case at Purba Police Station in Tongi accusing Shafiqul Islam (40) and Firoz Miah (35). They released the victim and her husband the following day on the condition of not informing anyone about the incident.
