Ozzy Osbourne is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. If you did not watch the induction, his acceptance speech was short and succinct...
He thanked Randy Rhoads. Last night really seemed to he heavily weighted to Randy, which unfortunately is why Bob Daisley will never hand over the Holy Grail tapes to the Osbournes for fear of them cutting him out.
I thought Ozzy missed the opportunity to effusively thank Dana Strum, whose belief in Randy changed history. And of course. not referencing Bob Daisley who has done more for Ozzy's career, was a miss. Ozzy missed a chance to admit it was a band. It was Bob who told Ozzy to go back to Randy after that failed jam with two other guys, telling Ozzy he needed a World class player if he were serious. David Arden finally giving in and agreeing to bring Randy on over to the U.K. and the rest is Blizzard of ozz history
Jack Black did a good enough job, but he skipped right over the Jake E Lee era which is unfortunate. But he did mention Randy gave Eddie van Halen a run for his money....

When I think of Ozzy Osbourne in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, it will always be with 3 other musicians who carried him: Randy Rhoads, Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake.

Criss Oliva was a guitar legend, and it's a real shame that more people don’t talk about him when they bring up guitar heroes from the '80s and '90s. As the co-founder and lead guitarist of Savatage, Criss brought a unique blend of power, emotion, and technical skill that set him apart. The guy could shred with the best of them, but he never sacrificed melody or feeling for speed. That's the magic in his playing—he knew how to make a song hit you in the gut while still melting your face off.

Born Christopher Michael Oliva on April 3, 1963, in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, Criss picked up the guitar at a young age, and before long, he and his brother Jon were making waves in the local Tampa metal scene. By 1983, Savatage had their debut album, Sirens, and Criss’s guitar work was already turning heads. His playing was influenced by the greats like Eddie Van Halen, Michael Schenker, and Uli Jon Roth, but he added his own twist—a real theatrical sense that worked perfectly with Jon's operatic vocals.

One of the cool things about Criss’s style was how he mixed heavy metal with classical elements. Listen to tracks like "Hall of the Mountain King" or "Gutter Ballet," and you can hear these epic, almost symphonic arrangements woven into his riffs and solos. His use of vibrato was on point, and his rhythm playing was just as impressive as his leads. Criss knew how to make his guitar sing—whether he was tearing through a fast, technical solo or laying down a massive riff.

Tragically, Criss’s life was cut short in a car accident in 1993. He was only 30, but in that short time, he left behind a legacy that continues to inspire guitarists to this day. His influence lives on through Savatage's music and the bands that followed, including Trans-Siberian Orchestra, which Jon Oliva helped form. Criss's playing was passionate, creative, and full of heart—he truly put himself into every note.

The Quote By Gene Simmons Which Proves Why KISS And Many Other Artists Are Now Selling Their Publishing :

“There’s not gonna be another Beatles, Hendrix, or KISS because there’s no longer a record industry. There’s only chaos.”

“ The next 15 year old kid who plugs into his Marshall amplifier won’t be able to make a living because record companies don’t pay advances, royalties or promotion anymore.”

“ It’s the freckle face kid who feels he or she is entitled to steal music without paying for it. Because in their logic you don’t need money because you’re rich being a musician. That’s the problem with downloading and the internet. Now everything is for free.”

“From 1958 - 1988 you can name at least 100 bands or artists that became iconic. Everyone from The Beatles, to Elvis Presley, to The Rolling Stones, and many more.”

“From 1988 until today you won’t be able to name one iconic band. And don’t tell me Nirvana. They had two albums and were done.”

“The nail has been put into the coffin of Rock And Roll.”

In the 1970s, **Robert Plant** of **Led Zeppelin** and **Tony Iommi** of **Black Sabbath** crossed paths and reportedly jammed together on occasion. Both hailing from the West Midlands in England, these iconic musicians shared a strong connection to the burgeoning hard rock and heavy metal scene of that era. Though no formal collaborations were released from these sessions, the idea of Plant's bluesy, powerful vocals paired with Iommi's heavy, riff-driven guitar work intrigued fans. Their brief musical exchanges during this golden age of rock music added to the legendary aura surrounding both bands.
