Johnny Neel- With great sadness the Allman Brothers Band family has lost another member. Johnny’s short stint as band member was impactful, he was the anchor on piano for the 1989 “Dreams” reformation tour. Johnny’s song writing and piano performances were welcome additions to the rejuvenated Allman Brothers Band on the recording of the SEVEN TURNS album and subsequent tour in 1990. A consummate pianist, vocalist, harmonica player and raconteur, he brought his talent and sense of humor to the stage every night. He will be missed by all who knew him, as he jumps on to that now getting crowded tour bus in the heavens. Johnny, say hello to the rest of the guys, it won’t be long before we will all be there.
