I was NOT.

Making big decisions gave me anxiety. I worried about everything.

I always did the, “ well, what if.. phrases”

Until I was 33 years old & lost my husband. Now that man, was a risk taker.

But, I realized so much during the grieving/healing process. Life is only what you make of it, IF you take that risk!

So I knew if I wanted more time with my kids, I had to take a risk, but I didn’t know what to do or what to trust on social media.

Do you wear BUSY MOM as a badge of honor?

I DID and it was exhausting!🥱

Alot of us have planned our whole life out since we were little girls; dreaming of getting married, having children, going to college & envision ourselves doing all the wifely/motherly duties.

I definitely was that little girl who dreamed of a fairytale life. I did all the above: became a mom, got married, got my BSN in nursing, and thought I was living the DREAM!

Until one day in 2019 when my whole life flashed before me and I became a widow. I lost my partner of 15.5 years and the father to my children.

I wanted changed immediately into the badge of honor for spending the MOST TIME with my loved ones.

I wanted endless amounts of time with my kids and the people I loved in my life. ⏳💕

I knew I wanted more time but I was so scared to take the LEAP OF FAITH on something new.

So, I PRAYED!! 🙏 I prayed for many things since 2019, and God has shown me he will provide. He answered my prayers in PERFECT TIMING!!

The blessings He has provided have been endless, but to name a few:

🙏He gave us peace and love during our first year of grieving.

🙏 He sent our family an amazing male role model, who I now get to call my husband.

🙏 He sent me this amazing business opportunity, along with the faith to trust Him with His plan for myself & family.

Do you and your spouse get away at least once a year???

It doesn’t have to be a big get away.
-a weekend away at a hotel at a nearby location
-going to the beach
-going on a cruise
-going to the mountains

Do you do date nights throughout the year or each month?
- dinner
- A walk together around the neighborhood or near by park
- Time alone at home just the two of you ( kids go to friends, grandparents, aunts/uncles,etc)

Making the time to consistently reconnect throughout the month and year is very important for your marriage.

I know as life keeps moving on, I can get in the motions of what needs done and lose connection at times with my spouse.

You have to keep that fire and remember why you married that person!! 🔥🥰

Have you ever lost your spouse and or the parent of your children?

If so, you are at the right place for some good conversation.

I lost my husband and the father of my kids.

Grieving is hard as an adult.
Can you imagine grieving as a child and not understanding everything you’re feeling, let alone communicate it?

And on top of that both of my kids grieve differently! Who is on the struggle bus with this one?

Talk about a whirlwind of trying to be helpful to both.

Here is a small list of some grieving tips that helped me and I hope it helps you and your children:
✨be open with them about their feelings
✨ask them questions about their passing parent- example: what was your favorite thing you and dad did?
✨turn the memories into JOY overtime instead of tears ( this one takes time, be patient)
✨ anger is very common in children, but don’t let that be an excuse or that behavior will continue. (This stage is majority of the time at the beginning of the grieving process, and at times of high need for that parent)-example: daddy daughter dance, starting basketball season and the parent use to coach.

Grieving is a process and no one person ever does it the same.

The ONE main thing that helped us, is having FAITH!!!

Lean on the one person who can help guide you through grieving.

He has always helped me with the right words or how to be silent when needed for my kids.

As a little girl I dreamed of being a mom.
I thought about how I was going to raise my kids, and what I would do differently than my parents did. How I was going to instill life in them.
As a mother of a daughter, I knew I would make sure I would always be there for her in all situations of her life , but especially in her middle school years and learning how to navigate friends, social life, boys, puberty and WOW!! I will say it’s more than I ever imagined or remember living through. Lol
I have always been honest with my daughter about life and situations because she has to learn how to deal with positive and negative situations and trust me you want your kids to learn from you. Not a neighbor, a friend, or stranger, who may not have your child’s best interest.
As a mom, as hard as it is to hear the long story of your daughter and a little girl from school who had a disagreement, and all the lovely detail ( information that may not matter to you). Stop, listen and give your daughter your full attention. Just listen.
Then at the end, ask your daughter would you like any advice or did you just need someone to listen?
From my own experience, listening a lot and gaining my daughters trust and respect, she now wants my advice to help her navigate certain situations that she just is frustrated about.
That is the perfect time to provide life long skills in your daughter to help her build healthy friendships/relationships.
This also keeps the communication open between a mother and daughter 💕

LOVE and FEAR ❤️

Two words I never thought went together until I lost my first husband. GRIEVING is FOREVER.

But I was still ALIVE and I was in my 30s!!!

💔I FEARED opening my heart again.
💔I FEARED what people would think
💔I FEARED my own future
💔I FEARED loving and losing again

I did lots of self work!!!

❤️ I slowly opened my heart
❤️ I trusted myself to know what I was doing
❤️ I prayed
❤️ LOVE conquered FEAR in my life

I am so thankful for this man I now get to call my husband!! He is everything and more than I could have ever asked for. Not only for myself, but for my kids as well!

NEVER give up after a loss ( divorce, loss of spouse, break up, etc)

LOVE outweighs the FEAR

I am living proof 💕💕💕

PH 11.5 water from my K8 machine 💦

Used to clean fruits and vegetables!!

Tonight I cleaned blueberries, grapes and tomatoes!!

Wow is ALL I have to say!!

I know nobody will or would drink those cups…. Yuck 🤢

The first cup is from the blueberries; second cup is grapes ( the color isn’t a big change, but only if you could feel and fast the difference, yumm- so fresh); third cup is from tomatoes!!!

This is my why for this machine to give my kids a healthier way of eating and living!!

Girls trip to Chicago!! If you are able to talk a girls trip, a girls day, or just a dinner or lunch with your daughter, DO IT!!

Take the time to always grow your relationship with your children.

Don’t grow apart from them, grow with them and be their supporter, growth coach, travel partner, listening ear, etc.

My daughter and I truly lived every moment to the fullest on this trip! Our long conversations, laughs and long walks were the perfect combo for our relationship. 🌸💕

At the end of the concert the last song was, I bet you can guess it, “ I Swear” 🎶

This concert was fantastic. It took me back to my teenage days. I was so happy to spend this moment with my husband and slow dance with him, front stage.

Sooooo let’s start sharing the benefits of the K8 machine! 💦

Washing my fruit!! This is the result after they soaked in PH 11.5!!!

I soaked strawberries, blueberries and grapes!!

My son was amazed on how the grapes felt after they were soaked. He also said they tasted fresher!!
He was totally impressed and so happy to know all the pesticides used were off his fruit!!

So many benefits of this fantastic water system! I will keep sharing each day this week how I am using my K8 machine for myself and in our house!!

This life will never get old☀️🌸 As a child this was my happy place and that still has never changed!! Now it is my kids happy place along with their friends! A day late post!!! Happy 10 year Anniversary to my husband Eric in heaven!!! We built a fantastic life together and our time was cut short. 😞 You taught me so much throughout our time together. You always loved me unconditionally, supported me (even if my ideas were crazy lol), walked beside me in all situations and helped me be the best wife, friend, mother and family member to all!! Yesterday may have been 10 years married. But in September it will be 20 years we would have been together!! I have forever thankful for you. I love and miss you endlessly 💕💕💕💕 Now to give credit to this picture!!! ✨✨✨ My now husband Luke knows how much this day means to me and always will. So he chooses to love me unconditionally and celebrate and support me during this day. He sent me flowers; the roses represent Eric and I by color!!!
