Is FanFiction really celebrated? From Esther Yi to Neil Gaiman, fanfiction has become a form of expression for the rest of us. But we have witnessed that fanfic writers have true talent and skill. Like Esther, many fanfiction writers we know write from the "intersection between a literature obsession and finding a way to interact with [her] objects of desire." Here's to paving the road for legitimate recognition!

Fan fiction may not command the same respect as other literary pursuits, but it's a rich mode of expression, says one author who mounts a passionate case for the style.

Yes, we really do accept fanfic short stories from any fandom.

One of our founding principles is to elevate fanfiction writers for their talent. To do this, we must accept submissions from all fandoms without bias.

So if you have written fanfiction from a fandom you are worried we may know nothing about, stop worrying. Our lack of fandom knowledge will not prevent us from fairly evaluating your submission. We aim to showcase talented writers and their stories, and we hope our publication thus far has proven this.
