Osun Election: Rushing to Abuja Cannot Save Oyetola- PDP Mocks Tinubu..Charges INEC To Resist APC's Manipulations

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counsels the unsettled Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to know that rushing to Abuja in the face of the defeat of his party, the APC in the Osun State Governorship election cannot overturn the Will of the people at the poll.

Our Party is already aware that APC leaders are rushing to Abuja in a desperate move to manipulate the process and frustrate the smooth conclusion of the election, having realized that the APC has been rejected by the people.

Asiwaju Tinubu must know that the people of Osun State have spoken and that his running to Abuja cannot save the deflated Governor Gboyega Oyetola from the reverberating verdict of the ballot box.

Our Party charges the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the APC leadership in Abuja to note that the course of the election is already known to all and that the people of Osun State will never accept any outcome to the contrary.

The PDP charges INEC to resist the manipulations and pressure from the APC by sticking to its assurance to the people that the election will be transparent and conclusive at the first ballot.

The PDP congratulates the people of Osun State and urges them to remain at alert, protect their votes and ensure that the results declared at the polling centers are not altered but duly reflected at the collation and final declaration.

We also congratulate all democratic institutions, stakeholders and all patriots who stood by the people to achieve this great shift.

OSUN GOVERNORSHIP ELECTIONS: PDP CLAIMS VICTORY

• ••Warns Against Election Manipulation

The Osun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has claimed victory in the ongoing governorship election , affirming that collated results from the polling units confirms PDP's emerging victory at the poll.

In a statement issued at Osogbo on Saturday evening, the Caretaker Chairman of the party in Osun state, Dr Akindele Adekunle declared that the party has secured majority as well as more than two third spread across the 30 local governments and area office.

The party in the statement noted that the victory of the party at the poll is a product of mass mobilisation and grand coalition of people of Osun state against bad governance and insensitive leadership.

While thanking people of Osun state for endorsing and affirming Ademola Adeleke's governorship bid, the party sternly warns against any attempt to tamper with the result of the election.

"We want to assert that Ademola Adeleke has won this election overwhelmingly going by results at our disposal. We warn against any plot by some agents of chaos to doctor the results. We specifically call on the Electoral commission to watch fifth columnists within its fold who may have been contracted for hatchet job. Osun people have decided and their votes must be respected", the statement noted.

The party specifically called attention of the commission to a paid agent of the state government who is presently working round the clock to tamper with the results, vowing that any attempt to subvert the will of Osun people will be strongly resisted.

Angry APC Members Dump Party, Join PDP In Nasarawa

Hundreds of aggrieved members and supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ugya/Umaisha Constituency of Nasarawa state recently dumped the party.

The members led by Ibrahim Kareka dumped the governing party for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) during a rally held at the old Market Square, over failed campaign promises and alleged malpractices that marred its recent primary elections.

They burnt scores of brooms, which is the symbol of the governing party to demonstrate their exit.

Comprised of mostly youths and women, they were received into the mainstream opposition by the Chairman of PDP in Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Hon. Yunusa Ohimegye.

The party's candidate for the Constituency in the 2023 general elections, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Sa'ad (Turakin Opanda) among other Chieftains were in attendance.

The decampees vowed to work in one accord to deliver all candidates of the party in next year's general elections.

Some questions are running through my mind:

1. Is there no Christian member of APC from the 19 northern states?

2. If religion does not matter but competency, is there not competent Christian in the entire North?

3. If religion does not matter, what about tribe? Does tribe matters?

4. Can APC fields Yoruba-Yoruba or Igbo-Igbo ticket?

5. Is APC an Islam'ic fundamentalist party like violent muslim brotherhood of Egypt?

6. Can Boko-Haram, Ansarudeen and ISWAP accept Christian-Christian ticket?

7. Why are APC surpporters unrepentant hypocrites?

If you are a Muslim and you support this Move, you are not being fair as you will not support a Christian- Christain Ticket . If you are A northern Muslim and You Support this , you are not being fair on your fellow Northern Christians . Nigeria is very divided by religious and ethnic line. Christians in the North feel genocide is going on and religious cleansing is happening daily. Courageous Solution by Tinubu is to give everyone sense of belonging . Create a very inclusive Government. You reward Shettima because of role he play during the primary for you isn’t that Buhari model. Only reward those who work and forget others; Picking A North East Christian would have shown you will be different from Buhari. Culture of impunity and nepotism .

As A Man born in Maiduguri , Shettima is good to be My Uncle , His part might have even cross with my Dad . He is a good Man. But we have many competent Christians from North East. Many! You Alienate a section of the country just because you must Win and ignore the consequences is why Nigeria has remain the way it is.

If I publicly condemn Peter Obi for even having a person holding the VP slot who is a southern christian , I have the moral right to condemn Tinubu for choosing a Muslim- Muslim Ticket. You didn’t give the Northern Christian sense of belonging . This tinubu Move doesn’t mean anything to most south westerners because religion is no big deal to us. My adopted Mother is a Muslim till date, here in south west religion is no big deal. But to fall into the trap by northern- Muslim that claim you are not Muslim enough hence you must pick a strong northern Muslim is nonsense and a big blunder...

Tinubu choose a man responsible for chibok girls abduction as VP.

This is the letter Nyesom Wike, then the Minister of State for Education, wrote to Kashim Shettima, asking him not to hold WAEC exams at Chibok due to the security risk posed by terrorists. Shettima refused. And because of his stubborn refusal; 276 were abducted by Boko Haram.

This is the man Tinubu has now chosen as his running mate? A man who was forewarned about Boko Haram and did NOTHING. Interesting!
