The laughter at the end says it all.

This was my first off-road race and the first major event I attended after completing my military service. I had no formal training or experience in filming off-road racing, but I was determined to give it my all. I climbed a random hill in Warren, NH, and hit "record."

Travis Lovett, owner of the Hitman buggy, was ready to tackle the "bounty hill" and go after the prize money. The hill was a serious challenge—steep enough to make walking difficult, let alone driving a four-wheel vehicle up it. Travis made it to the top with ease, but not before covering me (I quickly changed positions after this run) in freshly churned earth. I can still recall the distinct scent of dirt and race fuel in the air. From that moment, I was hooked.
