At Ghost and Grub, we're all about traveling to spooky and strange places, as well as hearing the stories behind them! Therefore, we're looking to have people on the show who want to chat about their favorite strange or haunted destination, as well as share a tale or personal story about the location.

We're particularly interested in places listeners can visit, and destinations can include physical structures, organic spaces, and commercial locations.

Trains have played an important part in Marietta's history. The Civil War may have ended over 150 years ago, but people to this day continue to see the spirits of soldiers on and around the tracks. Perhaps it's due to the number of soldiers whose bodies were transported out of town by trains on those very tracks. What do you think?

Went away for the weekend to Kentucky. Always love going back to the The Old Talbott Tavern in Bardstown, but I also visited Buffalo Trace Distillery which is reportedly haunted. Stopped off at the very haunted Federal Hill, and then topped off the trip with another visit to The Waverly Hills Sanatorium. Have you been to any of these places?

It seems every town has their own hitchhiking ghost story, and Indianapolis is no exception. On rainy nights, a teenage girl in a prom dress can be seen on the corner of 38th Street and MLK Drive. She is soaking wet from the rain, looking for a ride home.

One night, a young man sees the girl and offers her a ride home. The girl gets into the back of the man's car and provides him with her address. As the man pulls up to the girl's home, he turns around and notices the woman has disappeared. However, the backseat of his car is still wet.

Confused, the man gets out of the car and walks up to the house. He knocks on the door, and a woman answers. As the man explains what happened, he catches a glimpse of a picture inside the woman's home. It is a picture of the very girl to whom he gave a ride. In shock, the woman tells the man it is a photo of her daughter who died the night of her prom six years ago.

For an immersive experience into the Talbott Tavern's history, I recommend renting a room directly above the tavern. And, if you’re in the mood for a ghostly encounter, the Jesse James Room is said to be a hotspot for paranormal activity.

Weekends can get a bit noisy, though, with live entertainment downstairs in the tavern, and I like to be where the action is, but if you’re looking for a quieter stay, the Talbott Inn and Gift Shop, located in an adjacent building, is the perfect way to stay close to the original Tavern and Inn without the noise or spirits.

The Reid Murdoch building in Chicago is a hotspot for paranormal activity. Those who have worked at the restaurants and other businesses in the building have reported countless stories of furniture and other fixtures moving on their own, as well as lights flickering on and off for no apparent reason.
