𝙈𝙖𝙗𝙪𝙝𝙖𝙮, 𝘾𝙀-𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩-𝘼𝙩𝙝𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙨!

In the recent Local PRISAA Meet, Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC Bluefins) succeeded as the Overall Champion in the Socio-Academics Category and Overall First Runner-Up in the Sports Category, held on February 13-16, 2025.

Along with that, student-athletes from Civil Engineering Department showcased their exceptional skill and determination that contributed to RMMC's victory. Their dedication highlights their unwavering commitment to the institution's excellence.

Indeed, civil engineering students are not only excellent in academics but they are also often student-athletes who excel in both academics and sports, balancing a demanding academic schedule with intense training and competition.

Once again, RMMC and the Civil Engineering Department are beyond proud of you, CE-xcellent Student-Athletes!

𝙋𝙄𝘾𝙀-𝙍𝙈𝙈𝘾 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨 4𝙩𝙝 𝙍𝙪𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙧-𝙐𝙥 𝘼𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙜 11 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙊𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙍𝙖𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜

Along with contingents from various institutions all over SOCCSKSARGEN, PICE-RMMC Student Chapter together with ten other schools sets out once again to take part in the yearly PICE Regional Student Summit, held this time at Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU), City of Koronadal, last February 6 to 8, 2025.

Travelling all the way to Marbel, PICE RMMC Student Chapter proudly showcased their hard-earned efforts by securing the championship from the series of events, the most notable are; Badminton Men's Double, Chess, Amazing race, and back-to-back champs in Volleyball Men's category.

Moreover, RMMC chapter secured the 2nd Place in the Battle of the Bands, 4th Place in Bench Yelling, and 6th Place in the PICE Sikat Competition. Having received these awards, PICE RMMC also clinched the overall 2nd Runner-up in Academics event, and 3rd Runner-Up in the Sports activities.

PICE-RMMC with its teeming delegates successfully placed as the 4th runner up with a total accumulated number of 3890 pts. Whereas, the host school, NDMU, was hailed as the overall champion with a combined number of 5275 pts.

Above all, PICE RMMC's participation and its performance across various events demonstrated the students' dedication, talent, and strong sense of school pride, competing fiercely against other top schools of Region XII.

Indeed, it left a trail of memorable moments and achievements for the students of the region in the PICE Regional Student Summit 2025.

Congratulations to PICE RMMC and other PICE Student Chapters of Region XII on their engineering excellence and outstanding achievements!

𝙏𝙤𝙥 𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙩 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙙: 4𝙩𝙝 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙏𝙧𝙞𝙤 𝙒𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙌𝙪𝙞𝙯 𝘽𝙤𝙬𝙡 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.

The Quiz Bowl competition that took place at RMMC Basic Ed. Lagao Campus showcased the impressive knowledge and understanding of RMMC BSCE students towards engineering concepts, held during the celebration of PICE Week 2025, last Jan. 22-23.

With the theme PICEvolution: "Pioneering Innovation, Constructing Excellence", the event was not only insightful but also proved to be a result of excellent teamwork within the participating CE students.

Furthermore, various year levels competed in this highly anticipated academic event. Ultimately, a trio of outstanding 4th year students-- Tegie Hibaler Calugada, Kent Vincent Salac, and Clifford Estaña, emerged at the top. Their excellent perception of issues related to civil engineering and ability to simplify problems was remarkable and well conveyed throughout the course of the competition, earning them the accolade of first placers.

The rankings were followed by the 2nd year students who also demonstrated their prowess by securing the second spot while the 3rd year students clinched the third spot.

This competition serves as a precursor to the much awaited PICE Regional Summit, which will be held at Notre Dame of Marbel University in Koronadal City, on February 6-8. The annual conference will be participated by contingents from various institutions across region XII. Marking this academic competition a significant highlight of the upcoming summit.

Pageantry, for some, may simply symbolize the celebration of beauty and intelligence. But beyond the glittering guises and eloquent speeches lies something far more important—a showcase of confidence, courage, and the ability to stand tall and advocate for meaningful causes before the world. Such was the essence of the recently concluded PICE Week 2025 Mr. & Ms. PICE Ambassadors, held under the theme, “PICEvolution: Pioneering Innovation, Constructing Excellence.” at RMMC-Basic Ed Campus, last January 22.

The event was not merely a competition but a celebration of character, passion, and the ideals of the PICE-RMMC Chapter. It brought together six pairs of candidates coming from each year level who without a doubt captivated the audience with their grace, wit, and advocacy for progress in the civil engineering field.

Silence befall upon the gymnasium as the hosts announced which candidates won the preliminary sash awards in female category, where, Ms. Sheena Joy C. Cabus, snagged four out of seven sashes: Best in Polo Shirt, Best in Civil Engineering Attire, Best in Preliminary Interview, and People Choice Award. Followed by Ms. Mykee Angela Rocapor, a 4th year student, with her Best in Production Number, and Best in Lab Shirt. Lastly, Ms. Janna Lu Villanueva for her Ms. Photogenic Award.

Meanwhile, In the male category, Mr. Kristian Klyne I. Francisco led the pack with five awards, including Best in Production Number, Best in Lab Shirt, and Mr. Photogenic. Followed closely by Mr. Jerald B. Alvarado who earned Best in Polo Shirt and Best in Preliminary Interview.

After intense deliberation, the top three finalists for each category were announced. For the males, Mr. Francisco, Mr. Alvarado, and Mr. Khristian O. Pineda advanced. On the female side, Ms. Cabus, Ms. Rocapor, and Ms. Jona Marie Lustan secured their spots in the final round.

The event concluded with the crowning of Ms. Sheena Joy C. Cabus as the new JPICE RMMC Ambassadress and Mr. Khristian O. Pineda as Mr. JPICE RMMC Ambassador. Both winners will represent the chapter at the PICE Regional Summit, to be held at Notre Dame of Marbel University on February 6-8, 2025.

The Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) - RMMC Chapter held its much anticipated PICE Week 2025 with the theme “PICEvolution: Pioneering Innovation, Constructing Excellence”, on January 22-23 at the Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges school grounds.

PICE Week 2025 was more than just an annual gathering of aspiring civil engineers, it was a testament to the unyielding passion, effort, and unity of students who brought the event to life. This year’s celebration showcased the essence of what it means to be a civil engineer in the making, not just in technical skill, but in dedication, collaboration, and ingenuity.

The success of the said event hinged on the students’ efforts. Their collaboration was a reminder that engineering is not a solitary endeavor but a collective pursuit of excellence. They also showcased their ability to think outside the box and emphasize that civil engineering is not just about structures and numbers, it’s about creating solutions that improve lives.

PICE Week 2025 stood as a shining example of what young civil engineers are capable of achieving. The students proved that they are not only preparing for a career but rather building a legacy.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: 𝐑𝐌𝐌𝐂-𝐂𝐄𝐓 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐎𝐒𝐑𝐁 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧-𝐮𝐩 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲.

In a joint effort spearheaded by Philippine Air Force (PAF)- Tactical Operations Squadron of Rajah Buayan (TOSRB), Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC), alongside various Institutions, gathered together to participate in the annual Coastal Clean-up Activity at Minanga Eco Park, Brgy. Buayan, on January 14, 2025.

The initiative was headed by Major Aslim M. Ulangkaya, PA, along with PAF-TOSRB Group 12, 1203 Community Defense Center, Regional Defense Group, and Reserve Command. Together with Brgy. Buayan representatives, and City Waste Management Office.

Furthermore, RMMC, known for its steadfast commitment to community service, sent participants from each college department to assist in the activity, including the RMMC College of Engineering (CET).

The Coastal Clean-Up is an annual activity initiated by TOSRB. Last year, January 25, 2024, the same activity was held.

𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙢𝙖𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙈𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙖𝙨 𝙋𝙖𝙨𝙠𝙪𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙖 𝙍𝙈𝙈𝘾 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙆𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙨 𝙊𝙛𝙛.

Truly, the Holiday Season has arrived as Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges officially welcomes the Month of Giving through its yearly inaugurated "Paskuhan sa RMMC", today, December 6, 2024.

With the theme "Graceful Hearts, United Spirits: Celebrating a Season of Joy". This year marks the 64th Founding Anniversary of Ramon Magsaysay since 1960.

Furthermore, the event, led by host Mr. Jest Salubre, LPT, commenced with a FunRun activity, wherein students of RMMC gladly participated.

Along with that, the Institution made efforts to secure the event through the collective guidance of City Police as well as the Criminology Interns of the College.

The activity was then followed by a gruelling Zumba workout led by two dance instructors, together with the students from each college.

With festivities ahead, the morning concluded with the Thanksgiving Mass open to all RMMC students.

Paskuhan Sa RMMC is an annual event of the institution, which is comprised of a series of events. This year's celebration will be held from December 6 until December 20.

Congratulations to our PICE delegates!

Out of 21 colleges and universities, our PICE-RMMC Chapter proudly secured 5th place for the Bridge-building category at the 23rd National Civil Engineering Students' Conference, held at SMX Convention Center, Pasay City, last November 15-16, 2024.

Representing our institution, PICE-RMMC delegates Maite Caspillo, Yhanie Hinay, Kristine Espalabra, Maricel Maitel, and Sharifa May Basa, through their adept knowledge at bridge making, made a remarkable achievement by securing 5th place.

With that, a heartfelt congratulations to the PICE-RMMC delegates who proudly strutted their way in the 23rd National Civil Engineering Students Conference.

This achievement serves as a testament to the collective hard work and dedication of the students and faculty's pursuit of academic excellence.

𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒘𝒊𝒅𝒆 𝑺𝒊𝒎𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝑬𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝑫𝒓𝒊𝒍𝒍 (𝑵𝑺𝑬𝑫 2024)

On November 14, 2024, the RMMC community came together to participate in the 4th Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill. This initiative, led by the RMMC Safety & Health Department in coordination with the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Service, allowed students, faculty, and staff to rehearse safety protocols and procedures in the event of an earthquake. This drill was part of our ongoing commitment to fostering a culture of preparedness and safety across our campus.

Immediately following the earthquake drill, held a Fire Safety and Fire Fighting Awareness Program. This program provided the participants with necessary knowledge and hands-on practice in fire prevention and effective response to potential fire hazards. This combined initiative was designed to equip our community with the skills needed to face different types of emergencies with confidence and composure.

𝙍𝙈𝙈𝘾- 𝘾𝙀 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬 𝙄𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙌𝙪𝙞𝙯 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙧

To test their knowledge and brilliance, the Civil Engineering students of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges traveled from General Santos City all the way to Cagayan de Oro to participate in the Quiz competition hosted by Review Innovations, held last November 9, 2024.

This event was staged by Review Innovation at University of Science & Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) Cagayan Campus as part of their initiative to cultivate the future Civil Engineers of the country, along with it, they offered a seminar for the non-participants of the quiz competition wherein they talked about Seismic Detailing as well as gave techniques that the CE students could use to ace the Civil Engineering Licensure Exam.

In the quiz bowl competition, comprised of two teams from RMMC. The Team A, namely; Tegie Calugada, Kent Vincent Salac, and Jhon Paul Mones, managed to qualify on TOP 8 Grand Finalists out of 28 participating teams in Mindanao.

The hailed winner for this event were the CE students of North Eastern Mindanao State University- Tandag Campus.

"𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮: 𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙀𝙣𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙧'𝙨 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮"

A seminar intended for the 4th-year Civil Engineering students of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges was held on November 06, 2024 filled with insightful and fruitful discussions. The event brought together tackling over Most Common Construction Injuries, Common Reasons for Accident, Unsafe Act, Hierarchy of Controls, alongside Engr. Sean Davvin Salvaloza opening up the topic of safety officer, industry experts, construction professionals and enhancing worker safety on construction sites.

The presentations helped us to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world practices, preparing them for their future roles as civil engineers. They also gained practical knowledge and skills, which will allow them to create safer work environments and better understand their responsibilities in the construction industry.
