The woman on the Nigeria 🇳🇬 twenty Naira note is Ladi Kwali. She was born in Kwali, Gwari region of Northern Nigeria, where pottery was a common occupation among women.

She was so skilled that her work became known in Europe, Britain, and America. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, her work was displayed in London at the Berkeley Galleries.
She became Nigeria's best-known Potter, was awarded a doctorate, and made MBE in 1963 despite not having a formal education.

SEN. DINO CONDEMNS, URGES THE NIGERIA POLICE TO PROBE THE ATTACK ON THE SDP GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE, ALH MURI AJAKA.

In the light of the wanton attacks and primitive violence on Alh. Muri Ajaka, the SDP Governorship Candidate, Sen. Dino the PDP Governorship Candidate in Kogi State strongly condemn any act of ethnic discrimination and regional dichotomy.

He sympathized with the supporters of that attack and call on the necessary national security bodies to take decisive action on the spate of violence gripping within the State and gradually turning into criminality.

According to Dino, “It is inexcusable that at this stage of our journey as one state, we are yet to come to terms with the fact that God has made it a destiny for us to live as one people. It is unfortunate that while our counterparts elsewhere in other states of the federation are fusing up from particularity to generality as a people, we are fast sliding backwards from semblance of generality to particularity as a people.”

Sen. Dino also urge his colleague, the Governorship candidate of SDP, Alh. Ajaka to take concrete legal steps in curtailing the senseless attacks on his motorcades and ensure that such happenings do not occur again.

Sen. Dino reiterated that Kogi is currently battling with starvation, poverty and mis-governance as a state and here are supposed law abiding citizens unleashing mayhem on innocent citizens and supporters of a candidate to compound the spate of insecurity in the state, and the country at large.

He said said we must eschew primitive hatred against one another and learn to live with ourselves as one people. Our common enemy is not among those we live in the same community, buy and sell from one another, but those who take up arms against us in the name of power and elections.

Together, Kogi Shall be Liberated

Congratulations to the Tiv Nation on the Appointment of Senator George Akume as the SGF. He was one time Chairman of Idah LG and I he later became Chairman Gboko LG . When I came to Gboko he was already a Governor. That’s how our politicians should make progress but in the case Igala Nation, our hoodlums have chased all our intelligent people from home and taken over politics.

I WAS FORCED TO SIGN PRESIDENTIAL POLL RESULTS IN KOGI— WITNESS

During the proceedings of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), presented a witness who testified that he was coerced by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to sign the result of the presidential election in Kogi State.

The witness, Retired Captain Joe Agada, stated that INEC officials refused to provide him with a copy of the result unless he signed it.

He also claimed to have observed manipulation of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines in multiple polling units.

Agada revealed that PDP agents were forced to sign the result sheets, and he protested against this coercion by writing a petition to INEC. .
