Hey all!
We have another exciting project in development! Larpers/reenactors wanted! A Period Piece inspired by Films like "The Green Knight" and the game franchise "Dark Souls"! This is a short film to act as a teaser to acquire proper funding to do a full feature-length film! Shortfilm filming in Late October, in the SE Wisconsin area!
What we need-
Cast:
1x Male actor(50's and older)
Role: The Captain
The Captain of the Guard for the city of Wintanceaster has disobeyed his orders to set fire to a neighboring village for delaying their taxes once again. As punishment, he is being sent out on a fool's errand: to find the Lost Boy of Wintanceaster. He suspects she has been trying to get rid of him for a long while and finally has an excuse.
1x Female actor(30's to 50's)
Role: The Lady
Her Ladyship of Wintanceaster has had enough of The Captain's moral dilemma's with her Dying Husband's(King Arthur) orders. It is hard enough the People do not take her husband seriously in his declining health, but to have someone call her judgement into question is just too far. Especially from a man who never believed in her sincerity to begin with.
1x Non-Gender/Age Specific actor
Role: The Knight(of Death)
This mysterious figure approaches The Captain in his final conscious breaths and acts as a mirror for The Captain, almost in a "Ghost of Christmas Past" fashion.
**SPECIFIC ROLE REQUIREMENT** - Must be able to sing, and additionally be able to play a stringed instrument(guitar is fine but ideally a more medieval folk oriented instrument. The weirder the better!). This role requires you to be in a suit of armor, helmet closed and all! Bonus points if you're a Larper who has their own armor!
EXTRAS(non-speaking roles) - To be dressed up in costume armor and as corpses. You'll mostly be laying dead but at one point, you get to stand up with the main characters and sing an old English tune about death acceptance!
***ALL SPEAKING ROLE REQUIREMENTS***
Must be able to speak in a either a harsh Rhotic English Accent(Reference Cornwall for an example) or a North-Eastern English Accent(Reference the cities of Yorkshire, Leeds, and Hull.) ***This is an incredibly important detail!***
Video auditions(sent over gdrive or vimeo/youtube are a must! Email us with your interest along with any questions you have, and we'll send a character side!
