I use this NOT to compare BUT to see if my content is looking too similar to other accounts and find ways I can stand out!

I use this to see what my followers are in to and even if it doesn’t relate to my business - I ask myself how I can turn it into content for me!
I analyze what it is that they may like about it → Is it the material? Sound? Transition?
Ex: If a reel is popular with my followers about baking that uses a specific sound with a hook “What NOT to do when baking sourdough”→ I may use that audio and turn the hook into something that resonates with my business “What NOT to do when creating content on Instagram”

I get it…you want to show up and get the sale…who doesn’t want more sales!
But, what you’re forgetting is that you have to market BEFORE you can sell!
When you go to a car dealer to buy a new car they are marketing to you FIRST without you even knowing it…
You wouldn’t just get handed a piece of paper with a picture on it and be told “BUY THIS”…instead…
→ They discuss the problems it can solve for you (good gas mileage for your commute, room for your family, air conditioning for the summer because you’re hot, heated seats for the winter so you don’t freeze your booty)
→ They let you test drive it so you can ENVISION yourself in the new car.
→ They walk through every feature.
Yes, their goal is to sell you the new car, but first they are marketing!
YOU HAVE TO DO THE SAME ON INSTAGRAM 👏🏻
What does this look like in the form of content on Instagram?
→ Content that shows what problem do you solve?
→ Content that allows them to envision themselves in what you’re sharing (you want them to think “that is SO me”)
→ Content that showcases why they should choose YOU (your personality, your beliefs, what makes you different?)
→ What does their life look like now versus what it could look like if they worked with you?
Marketing converts to sales IF you have a strategy to back it up!

I’ll never forget the time I hired a business coach…
She preached (and I mean PREACHED) work/life balance and simplicity.

Are you unsure what insights really matter on Instagram?
Maybe you think it’s just “like” or “views” but let me break it down a little further…
Here’s what I would look at if I was just starting to analyze my account 📊
Non-Follower Reach - reach indicates the amount of UNIQUE accounts that saw your post. NON-FOLLOWER reach is helpful because it can show you how your conversion rate looks (if 3,000 non-followers saw your post and didn’t follow you, you can ask yourself “why is that” and adjust your content if need be)
Watch time for reels - this shows you the average time people watched your reels. If your reel was 10 seconds and the average watch time was 6 seconds, ask yourself “what happened after 6 seconds that made people stop watching? Did I need another hook to capture their attention for longer?” This can also help you figure out how long to make your reels in the future (after you collect data over time on your average watch time)
Follows per post - Instagram tells you if someone followed you after directly viewing a certain post. If you have a post that attracts a lot of followers, try to recreate and repurpose the same content in the future! Ask yourself “why do you think it attracted a lot of people? Was it the hook, funny, educational?”
Link clicks - this insight is helpful to indicate people who are taking the “next step” - if nobody clicks your link try to figure out why!
Insights can be overwhelming but these 4 metrics are a place to start!
From there, you can adjust your strategy and learn about what your people want to see from you!

Here’s how to stop the posting panic ⬇️
Set a short time block TWICE per week. COMMIT to those blocks as if they were client meetings (if something comes up with your kiddos, reschedule it like you would a meeting)
Here’s what I would do during those 2 time blocks:
Time Block 1: Write out 3 content ideas, the content type (reel, carousel, post, etc.), and the caption you want to share
Time Block 2: Film/Create the content and SCHEDULE it!
You will always feel behind if you are constantly trying to think of an idea, create it, and post it all in a matter of a few minutes.
VUA LA you have a week of content SCHEDULED and you can rest peacefully 🥳
