After a standout college football career at LSU, Ryan was signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2002. The Louisiana native went on to enjoy a 13-year career in the National Football League that included stops in Washington and with the Pittsburgh Steelers where he won a Super Bowl ring in 2009.

Carli played her college soccer for Rutgers Women's Soccer and made her debut for the U.S. Soccer Women’s National Team in 2005. By the time she hung up her boots in 2021, she had registered 134 goals and 64 assists over 316 international appearances. Historically, Carli was known to rise tallest on the grandest of stages, scoring the game-winning goal in the Gold Medal Match of both the 2008 and 2012 Olympics. She was also responsible for one of the most phenomenal performances in FIFA World Cup history when she registered a hat trick in the opening 16 minutes of the 2015 Final against Japan.
In this conversation, Carli talks to Eric about the importance of perseverance and always bELieving in yourself.
