DIY vid I did back in 2022. If you want to get way better range out of the Betafpv ELRS Lite (flat antenna) receivers, this will help. Warning...need to be decent at soldering and good probability in causing irreparable dmg to it!

1S Fractal 75 Max Cine/Free

Wanted to see if it was possible to get a working 1s Cinewhoop and Freestyle build going with the Fractal 75max kit. This build seems to work, getting about 2 - 2.5 minutes of Cinematic style flying while hauling a naked (kinda lol) Runcam Thumb Pro W on a 450mah 1s Lava lipo.

Pull off the Thumb, the mount becomes a protective top-plate (though not really needed with the Fractal build) and it becomes a Freestyle doing about 2minutes of hard flying on those Lava lipos.

This all seems to work thanks to the hdzero AIO5 using the Lux camera with a makeshift lens protector. More testing is needed and still need to review the captured footage on the runcam but hoping to have this on my person while whooping around town 😉

changes the game here with their happymodel AIO flight controller. HDzero built in! Is there a reason to stick with analog now?

Whoop season is upon us (even though it’s every season for me). Not too long ago, 19g was considered lightweight but then again analog has reached a new peak with builds easily getting 16 or 15g…19g for HD though, now that's something else.

FC was a tight fit between the ducts of a LiteAF frame. Paired with HQ 3bladed ultra lights brought this build down to 19.16g. Lower if i had used plastic screws to mount the canopy. Which btw was kindly designed and shared by . Thanks again mate! Will be trying this build out in the coming days to see how it fares!

Also important to note that Quicksilver works well on this FC and SPI ELRS 😎

NBD Hummingbird v3

Been tinkering and flying the Hummingbird v3 for a bit. Didn’t think I’d be flying analog so soon but and made it compelling which I appreciate and give many thanks to! Love the Teal goober canopy and Azi props on the white cockroach v3 frame! Had to swap out the PH2.0 to BT2.0 though. Overall, weight is about 22g and flight time on Lava series 300mahs comes to about 2:30 to 2:45 minutes on the 0802 25000kv motors. That’s hmm…okay. Weight and performance may improve when I direct solder the motors to the fc.

Speaking of FC, it’s a nice AIO with 25mw vtx, 12a esc and build in elrs. Noice. BeeEye camera is decent in good light but found myself struggling flying at night. Especially when bouncing flying an camera (will share comparison oneday).

For a BNF that you can get on sale for $89.99 minus $10 with coupon, one lipo and extra frame! It’s a pretty damn good buy and flies nice on stock tune!

Hachidori V2 HDzero

Building out a new with the Hachidori V2 frame. Love how low the mount and eco camera sits between the ducts, you would not be able to tell it’s an hdzero rig!

Went off script of the designer notes of using the mob7 frame to mount on the carbon fiber and went with chopping things up and using the whoop ducts themselves for the build. I have enough spare Mob7 frames to try out the other way anyways.

The TrueRC SMOL is also nicely tucked under the 3dprinted canopy which hopefully is strong enough to protect it!
°
It’s a decent weight at 29.35g, the 0802 27000kv motors account a bit of that and hopefully won’t rainbow out a lot as compared to when i had it on other builds…i may change out the motors later but i wanted this thing to be a rocket!

NBD LiteAF Race Frames

Built a couple lightweights using ‘s newly released LiteAF frames! They are surprisingly light where the black was 2.38g while the white is the advertised 2.4g! These are the lightest frames that I know of! Build specs of the and analogue builds at the very bottom!

Check out the recessed motor mount holes, I really like this design, not just the screw holes but mount location itself, hard to explain so you gotta look at the pics! Makes for sliding on the ground so easy without worrying about shredding your Reny screws. You gotta use either their really short m1.4 2mm screws or you gotta snip the reny screws shorter (which I did) so that it doesn’t push up against the motors pcb…

Speaking of motors, I was genuinely surprised the 0702 29000kv motors handled the extra weight of the HDzero Eco. 2min to 2:20 depending on flying hard on old Tattu’s. Absolutely shocked there was no rainbowing as I was expecting high voltage sag from these motors. There weren’t any!

1.6” BabyTurtle HdZero Eco

Snug fitting of the CrossF4 and Eco onto the 1.6” BabyTurtle frame!

Was a lot easier to fit the Eco camera onto the mount and frame of the baby turtle! Opted for 1102 22000kv motors because it was what I had on hand, lol. Hopefully it does pull too much amps to rainbow the vtx system…all in all a very tight looking build, back of the camera is really close to the FC, i ended up wedging foam there just in case.

Don’t mind the ghetto rubberband battery mount lol. Hover test is good but still need to secure the vtx antenna and power lead, and also secure the motor wires. Will deal with that after a good outdoor rip! (yes i do realize the loose screw on the camera mount standoff)

Mounted the Eco on the beaten and battered Meteor 75 air frame with pretty easy to tune 1s 5amp serial elrs, fc.
°
One thing i really liked about the Eco cam is that it’s easy to find mounts for it! Any mount for a caddx ant lite would work! Desoldered the 4 wires and added some lighter gauge ones! Noticed immediately the provided monopole antenna had some terrible reception so added a simple dipole. Went with the nbd Plaids as it’s been an efficient combo for an HDzero build! Some test to come soon with footage, stay tuned!

Happy Easter!

Meet Easter Whoop 2.0 with Drip. Blinged up the 1s build. Now with 3d printed outline bunny ears, making it more aerodynamic. Unlike last year's which acted like sails, lol. I wanted to make it more visible, so added LED Drips! It looks sick when it glares off the ears!

Flew it at a nearby park and was an absolute winners. Kids recognized it right away and parents thought it was hilarious having kids chasing it around

2S HDZero Baby Turtle

Shout out to for giving me the opportunity try this frame out and put together an build with it! Also honorable mention to for helping forward the care-package over!

I have a 1s analog counterpart with the 2s hdzero variant, pretty certain I’ll be flying the latter version more.
°
The build was basically a migration of hardware from the previous Nano90 HDzero Baby Turtle build I built about 3 months ago except it’s now an overall thinner looking build using a Whoop Nano Lite camera.
°
Frame as usually is well thought out. Nicely fitting the Whoop Nano lite camera snug in front, sandwich tightly between the carbon and standoffs.The 1102 14000kv motors on 2s (2x 1s for that matter) for this build meant cruising was about 25% throttle, lol. Pretty ridiculous. TunerRc’s EZ board is able to cope with 2s and Mpu6000 meant flying with it was smooth as hell!

Already knew this thing was quiet but having a dedicated HDzero baby turtle frame without the use of a heavy nano90 camera i had before and no longer needed 3d printed parts meant overall lighter and even quieter to fly quad! Absolutely love it and will have some footage to provide soon!
