Hello Beautiful beings, this is the last part of the series where I shared practical mindfulness exercises that will help you to cultivate self-awareness.

Self-awareness helps us to become the observers of our state of being (how we think, how we feel) and will help us to connect more fully with our life in every moment. The last set of practices I want to share are:

* Deepen your breath. Take slow, deliberate breaths to activate the relaxation response.
* Practice self-compassion. Treat yourself with the same kindness you'd offer to a friend.
* Let go of rigid expectations and attachments to outcomes.
* Attend mindfulness workshops. Explore new techniques and gain insights from experienced teachers.
* Be curious. Approach each moment with an open and curious attitude.

I hope you found them valuable, and they help you navigate daily life more mindfully.

It is a traditional Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness.

The way I use this simple but powerful statements have helped me detach from the inner chatter when it goes off on situations where I feel contrasted.

When my mind wants to bring the situation to ruminate, the moment I realize I’ve been caught in the thought pattern I started repeating the four statements until my mind alone changes the subject.

Hello Beautiful beings, I will be posting a series of practical mindfulness exercises that are easy to get started in creating self-awareness.

Self-awareness helps us to become the observers of our state of being (how we think, how we feel) and will help us to connect more fully with our life in every moment. The fifth set of practices I want to share are:

* Observe thoughts as clouds. Watch your thoughts come and go without getting caught up in them.
* Focus on the present moment to reduce ruminating thoughts and anxiety.
* Spend time outdoors, observing the environment around you.
* Be Mindful of your technology use. Consciously engage with screens and devices, avoiding mindless scrolling.
* Explore apps that offer guided meditations and mindfulness exercises.

-Horrible things are happening in the world, and I don't know what to do.
I get sad. I don't know how to help. I don't want to turn a blind eye and maybe I feel guilty for being well when others are very bad.

-I said.

-The Master answered:
-When you go to sleep you turn off all the lights. But you turn on the one in your room.

You're not in the kitchen anymore.
You are no longer in the yard with the dogs.

You are in your bedroom.
Where do you belong at that moment?
And there you turn on the light so you are not in the dark.

That's how it is in the world.
If there is war, but you are not there, it is because it is not your place to be there.
And where you are, turn on your light.

If you have something to share, share.

If you have something valuable to contribute to the world, do it.

If you are wise and know how to give advice, give it.

If you are pretty and there are a lot of ugly things out there, be prettier.
Be part of the beauty of life.

The Light turns on because on earth there are deserts and there are seas.

If you had to be part of the water,
Why does the desert afflict you?

If you had to be desert,
Why do those of the waters afflict you?

Everyone is where they belong.
Call it karma,
Fate. Purpose.

If the universe doesn’t have something, it is injustice.
Injustice Does not exist.
Everything is perfect.

If you are not there.
You don't have to be there.

Not everyone dies in war.
And where there is no war, people die.

Who has to die dies.
Lives the one who has to live.

Why feel guilty?
Or do you decide who lives or who dies?

What is your responsibility?
Just do your thing.
That's why you came.
And that's why you are where you are.

Turn on your light.
It starts from the light not from the problem.

The world, when it is dark, needs more lights on.

Hello Beautiful beings, I am posting a series of practical mindfulness exercises that are easy to get started in creating self-awareness.

Self-awareness helps us to become the observers of our state of being (how we think, how we feel) and will help us to connect more fully with our life in every moment. The third set of practices I want to share are:

* Mindful breathing. Breathe and focus on the intervals where your lungs are full of air and when they are empty.
* Pay attention while doing routine tasks like brushing your teeth or washing dishes.
* Take short breaks during the day to check in with yourself to observe your feelings or sensations.
* Mindful communication. Listen actively and speak consciously, considering your words before sharing.
* Cultivate non-judgmental awareness. Notice when you're being self-critical and gently redirect your focus.

*Eating mindfully. Pay attention to the taste, texture, and aroma of each bite.
*Mentally scan your body from head to toe, noticing any sensations and/or textures.
*Pay attention to the sensation of walking, the ground beneath your feet, and the movement of your body.
*Listen mindfully. Fully engage in listening to sounds without trying to interpret or judge them.
*Set reminders to bring your attention back to the present throughout the day.

When we focus on the good. We allow more of the good to come into our lives. We see it, we recognize it. With practice it becomes organic to you to focus on the good.

This is the reason practicing gratitude in the mornings can help boosting your mood during the day and it helps you to reframe the mindset that is conditioned to look for the dense and not so uplifting wherever we are.

The practice of yoga not only helps us to gain strength 💪🏼, flexibility 🤸🏻‍♂️, improving posture and healing injuries 🩼🤕. It goes beyond our physical body helping us to cultivate self awareness 👁🌀, and reset our nervous system 🧠 💕 into a resting and repair state to reduce emotional, chemical and physical stress 😵‍💫 of our daily life.

Even if you have never tried Yoga this is a great class for you. All levels are welcome. 🤗

You will feel great after the class. My yoga mentor says the world would be a better place if many people would experience the “after savasana” feeling 😌 and I believe that. 🤩

*Bringing your own mat is encouraged, there’s props and some mats on-site. If you’re sensitive with your knees a hand towel you can fold or a knee pad may be helpful too. 🫶🏼

It’s been 10 years since I left the ashram. So much has changed. I’m now happily married. I feel so blessed to have connected with all of you in a way I never imagined possible. We have so many ventures dedicated to transforming human lives through major transitions in their journey. People often ask me how I deal with the paradoxical nature of my life and the truth is it’s an ongoing process. If you told 15 year old me I’d one day be a monk and the next serving the world in this way I think he would have feinted. What I’ve realized is that there are many phases and stages to this thing we called life and you take the best of each experience and bring it forward to the improved version of you every time. There’s so much I absorbed from my time as a monk that underpin so much of my life right now. And the same applies to college, jobs and even partners that are no longer part of my life but in one way have impacted it so deeply. I hope this gives you the permission and freedom to grow, evolve and redefine yourself again and again ❤️

Love is not something we need to seek outside of ourselves but rather something inherent within us. Love is not something that we need to earn or strive for; it is already within us, waiting to be awakened.

When we recognize that we are love, we can start to see the world differently. We become more compassionate, more patient, and more understanding. We begin to treat ourselves and others with kindness and respect because we understand that we are all connected by this universal force.
