Keeping it real with this one 👀
After 6 weeks of maternity leave I am back, a little disheveled in the morning 😂 but I got to do my first job person content shoot for one of my amazing clients.
Shoutout to my husband for doing the long day with me and driving me so I could pump in the backseat. Also, keeping it real idk how women go back to work full time out of the house after only 6 weeks postpartum. It’s a challenge, but I’m grateful for this business and creating a business I love while being home with my family at this time.

1. Consistency 🔑 they have us post 5x a week. Because of this consistency, they grow much faster than our other client accounts. The data doesn’t lie. Posting more helps
2. Quality content 📷 We come in monthly for a content shoot. We take professional photos and get videos for reels. We make sure to edit each video so it doesn’t look thrown together.
3. We don’t only show the product (in this case it’s a restaurant, so food and bev) we showcase the ambiance. We show people having fun, bartenders making drinks, the views of the restaurant, etc. Don’t only show case your product or service. Show behind the scenes and let people visually want to be a part of it.
4. Repeat what works. When content pops off, do it again, and again. Keep repeating the process. Try the same editing style, the same keywords, same CTA, etc until you figure out why it worked.

I swear we did more than eat yesterday 🫣
We did a full content shoot for client 1. This means we stayed for about 2 hours and took professional photos of food and drinks and got tons and tons of video footage for reels. Then we popped into client 2 where we got extra video footage of the staff, their gorgeous patio, and food/drinks. They also now have an ice cream window, so obviously got some content and tried it out.
Ended the day writing a custom proposal and snacking on some nachos while I began editing reels!

For most businesses, I recommend planning out content ideas beforehand. However, as a restaurant I shoot the content first because I know what I need to get.
1. Create a visual content calendar. Then, ask yourself what your goals are and who your audience is.
2. Think of the content you have on your phone like B-roll or what content you can re-use.
3. Write down 4-5 ideas for each week. Keep in mind the content you have already, the content that can be used with B-roll, or the content that can be graphics.
4. Make a to-do list. I recommend creating at least the first 7-10 pieces of content before you sign off for the day and schedule what you can. This will get you ahead of schedule.
