I don’t think we need fireworks back as we did missed new year’s even from the fire ban last year & the past fireworks was cancel from COVID-19
When the Nanny State took away our cracker night almost ten years ago, we were promised our regular public fireworks displays would not be affected. Even ignoring the problems with this double standard between private and state actors, the promise has not been fulfilled, with Skyfire and NYE both cancelled in 2020, once again “for our own good”.
The ACT Liberal Democrats believe in voluntary exchange and personal responsibility. We will always stand up for the rights of people to buy, sell and use fireworks, subject of course to liability when they are irresponsible and cause damage to property.
If the Liberal Democrats hold the balance of power, cracker night will be back!
