Fuji-Q Highland is an old fashioned amusement park in Yamanashi prefecture. It's known for its great views of Mt. Fuji and its 7 roller coasters.

It has re-opened recently after the COVID-19 closures, but as a preventative measure, besides wearing face masks, they're asking customers to refrain from screaming and shouting (which means spraying) as much as possible. They're calling it the Keep a Straight Face Challenge ( #真顔チャレンジ).

However, they've received some comments that keeping a straight face, especially on the roller coasters, is impossible. So they've uploaded a "demonstration" video to show it can be done. It stars Mr. Iwata, the CEO of Fuji-Q Highland (on the left), and Mr. Horiuchi, the CEO of their parent company, Fuji Kyuko Co., Ltd., which is a public transportation operator. They are on the FUJIYAMA, their most infamous roller coaster.

Mr. Iwata looks quite calm and happy. Mr. Horiuchi on the other hand... 😅😱🤣😂

But they both make it all the way through without a peep out of them. Bravo.

It's good to see corporate leaders putting themselves out there. 😃
