Guess What!?

Our latest adventure has landed on YouTube! Join us in Panajachel, Guatemala, as we sip coffee at Pana Café, dine at Doña Ana Restaurant, and stroll down Calle Santander to the beautiful lakeshore.

Hold onto your sombreros, folks! This time, we’re taking you on a whirlwind tour of Campeche, Mexico, and things are about to get delightfully loco.

Our adventure kicks off at our Airbnb gem, Trilliza Amarillo. Think sunshine, think happiness, think... Scott trying to figure out how to use a hammock without spilling his margarita. Yep, classic Scott. Kathy’s busy matching her outfits to the vibrant decor and planning our culinary conquests.

Next up, we saunter along the Malecon, where the sea breeze is as refreshing as...well, you'll see. Scott attempts to blend in with the locals, but let’s be honest, he sticks out like a sore thumb – or more accurately, like a gr**go in a Hawaiian shirt. The coastal views? Absolutely stunning. The photos? Instagram gold.

But wait, there’s more! We dive into the walled old town of Campeche, a historic treasure trove where every cobblestone whispers secrets of the past. We marvel at the colorful colonial buildings and formidable forts. Scott even attempts to play pirate but ends up looking more like a confused tourist with a flair for the dramatic. Kathy’s there to bring him back to reality, as always.

So, buckle up for this vibrant and hilarious tour of Campeche. Don’t forget to smash that like button, drop a comment, and subscribe for more of our globetrotting antics!

Pack your virtual bags, hit play, and let’s get this fiesta started!

Hola, adventurers of "K Now What?"!

First stop: one of Merida's largest markets. Picture this—colors, scents, and flavors that dance through the air like a festive piñata explosion. We'll take you through the bustling stalls, filled with local produce, handmade crafts, and, of course, some of the best street food you can imagine. Experience the vibrant culture and friendly atmosphere, and discover why Merida is a top destination for travelers.

Next, we’ll give you a grand tour of our lovely Casa. From the cozy living spaces to the charming courtyard, we’ll show you why Merida feels like home. You'll see how safe and welcoming the neighborhoods are, perfect for anyone considering a visit or even an extended stay.

But wait, there's more! We dive headfirst into Mexico’s Independence Day celebrations. Imagine fireworks, music, dancing, and more security than a presidential inauguration. The thorough security checks make sure everyone is having a fiesta without any siesta on safety. It's a fantastic way to experience local culture and festivities.

Hey there, fellow wanderlust warriors! Buckle up, because this time, Kathy and Scott from "K Now What?" are trading the lush rainforests of Costa Rica for the sun-drenched, flamingo-filled wonders of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. We’re hopping aboard one of Sansa Airlines' compact but trusty planes, and it's all smooth sailing—or should I say flying—from there.

First stop: the charming village of Chuburna. We’re staying at Casa Ixtul, a slice of paradise owned by our dear friends Sandra and Mike. Trust us, this place is an oasis that’s got us questioning if we’ll ever want to leave. Seriously, you need to see this!

But the adventure doesn’t stop at our stunning accommodations. Oh no, we’re hitting the road for a picturesque journey along the Emerald Coast with Sandra and Mike by our side. Expect vibrant turquoise waters, scenic drives, and yes, those iconic pink lagoons that are practically Instagram legends. And speaking of legends, we'll be introducing you to some of our new feathered friends—the flamingos who grace these lagoons with their elegant presence.

We'll be sharing our thoughts, laughs, and a few classic Kathy-and-Scott blunders along the way. It's a visual feast with a side of humor, perfect for anyone dreaming of their next tropical escape. So, whether you're planning a trip to the Yucatan or just need a mini-vacation from your couch, come along and explore this Mexican gem with us.

Get ready for a Granada, Nicaragua, adventure like no other! In this video, Kathy and Scott are taking you on a tour that's anything but ordinary. We're talking boat rides, horse-drawn carriage trips, and, oh yeah, a visit to an active volcano. It's all in a day's work when you're exploring Granada, right?

First up, let's hit the water. We cruise through las isletas—tiny islands scattered across Lake Nicaragua. Think palm trees, hidden beaches, and maybe a monkey or two. It's the kind of place that makes you wonder if you're still on planet Earth or if you just wandered into a tropical dreamscape.

Next, it's time to swap the boat for some old-school transportation: a horse-drawn carriage. Clop along the cobblestone streets of Granada, soaking in the colonial charm and vibrant colors that make this city a must-visit. It's like time-traveling, but without the weird paradoxes.

And just when you think it can't get any cooler, we head to Masaya Volcano. Yeah, an actual active volcano. We take a peek inside and watch molten lava do its thing—no big deal, just another day in Nicaragua. Safety helmets are optional, but nerves of steel are a must.

So join us for a whirlwind tour of Granada, where we experience the best of what this beautiful city has to offer. If you're into adventure, history, and a little bit of geologic chaos, you've come to the right place. Hit that play button, and let's get this journey started! And hey, don't forget to subscribe for more epic travel adventures with 'K-Now-What?'!

Alright, folks, grab your passports and get ready for a journey of epic proportions—Kathy and Scott are crossing borders and we're taking you along for the ride! In this video, we leave Costa Rica behind and make our way into the vibrant heart of Nicaragua. First stop? Granada, a city that’s as historic as it is lively.

You'd think crossing a border would be a little more dramatic—like a spy movie with lasers and high-speed chases—but the reality is just a lot of walking, a lot of stamps, and some quality time with customs officials. But don't worry, we spice it up with some good-natured banter and a whole lot of enthusiasm.

Once in Granada, we settle into our fabulous Airbnb, shared with our good friends Chris and Shayna Dufresne. It's one of those places with an open courtyard and a hammock that practically begs you to take an afternoon siesta. We didn't have to think twice about it.

After we're sufficiently rested, we hit the streets and head straight for Granada's central square. This place is the epitome of people-watching heaven. Families, vendors, and a couple of tourists trying to figure out where they are—it's got it all. Oh, and did we mention the street food? Scott dives into Vigaron, one of Nicaragua's national dishes, and let's just say his taste buds are on a rollercoaster of yucca, pork rinds, and cabbage slaw. Delicious? You bet!

If you're into crossing borders, eating great food, and getting a taste of local culture (with a side of sarcasm), you're in the right place. Join us as we explore Granada, Nicaragua, and discover why it's a must-see spot for anyone with a sense of adventure and a love of national dishes that come in banana leaves.

So, we’ve got a little something different for you today—a love letter of sorts. You know, the kind you write to the place that stole your heart and then gave it back in a nicer box. Welcome to our thank-you note to Costa Rica, the land where monkeys howl, scarlet macaws add colour to your day, and you never know when an army ant might invite itself over for dinner.

From the moment we arrived, Costa Rica became our magical playground. The volcanoes, the beaches, the waterfalls—you name it, we explored it. But it was the people, the culture, the sense of community that really got us. You see, it’s easy to get lost in the natural beauty, but it’s the kindness and warmth that make you feel at home, even when you're thousands of miles away.

Oh, and the animals! Seriously, where else can you wake up to the sound of howler monkeys and have a sloth hanging out in your backyard? Or find yourself sharing your living room with tiny geckos? This place doesn’t just have wildlife—it has wild life. And the fruit! Don’t get us started on the fruit. Mangoes, pineapples, and those little bananas that taste like candy. Costa Rica, you know how to make a snack worth savouring.

But the real heart of this story is the people we met along the way. Neighbours who became friends, friends who became familia, and everyone who shared a smile or a story with us. To them, we say thank you. Thank you for welcoming us into your lives, for showing us what pura vida truly means, and for giving us memories that we’ll carry with us wherever we go next.

So, grab a tissue and join us as we take a look back at our time in Costa Rica—the animals, the landscapes, the food, but most importantly, the people who made it all unforgettable.

Happy birthday to my beautiful wife Kathy. I’ll be forever grateful that she’s my partner in exploring our wonderful world and thankful that she inspired my passion for travel. She’s one of the most generous and kindhearted people I know and her penchant for being young at heart makes the world a more beautiful place. I’m lucky I get to celebrate her day with her by discovering a new corner of the world together. Happy birthday my love!
