According to Berita Harian, the police have opened an investigation into the dissemination of a video showing a group of individuals singing Negaraku while the Jalur Gemilang and the Israeli flags were raised.

Superintendent Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood, deputy chief of police in Petaling Jaya, stated that an investigation was conducted after a police report was filed at 11:20 p.m. on Tuesday.

He claimed that the complainant had told the police that a 47-second video clip about the incident had been shared in a WhatsApp group.

Investigations found that the incident happened in September when a group of locals visited the Sea of Galilee, which is located under Israel’s jurisdiction.

Superintendent Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood, Deputy Chief of Police in Petaling Jaya.

The visit was made through Ziarah Kembara, which was conducted by a local travel agency. (And) during the visit, Negaraku was played and the Malaysian flag was raised,” he said in a statement today.

Prior to GE15, there were various allegations of ‘influencers’ being paid to promote certain political parties.

But closer to polling day and after, many seemingly random accounts started posting inaccurate videos about the 13 May 1969 incident, with hints of racist and discriminating remarks.

READ MORE: Tiktok Has Removed Harmful 13 May Content From The Platform

Even though TikTok has taken them all into account and removed them, some 13 May content was actually sponsored.

According to Malaysiakini, they found out that at least three May 13 warning videos on TikTok are paid for because they have the “Paid Partnership” label in the description.

Following this, the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) said that PDRM has summoned the management of TikTok to explain why the videos warning the 13 May race riots could happen again were being paid for and promoted to users on the platform.

“The spreading of provocative content with the intention of causing disharmony, hatred and prejudice is an offence under the penal code (Act 574) which can be punished by a fine or imprisonment or both if convicted,” said MCMC in a media statement yesterday.

Spreading such videos is an irresponsible act that can cause disharmony, division and feelings of hatred and prejudice in issues related to race and religion.

Gamuda Land’s SplashMania Waterpark is targeted for a January 2023 opening at the property developer’s Gamuda Cove township in the southern Klang Valley.

The 18-acre waterpark was previewed to the media recently where it comprises 24 water slides and 15 key attractions, with some being the first-of-its-kind waterslide experiences in Malaysia – including a Virtual Reality waterslide.

“The addition of the SplashMania Waterpark will not only benefit residents from Gamuda Cove, but its surrounding communities and Malaysia at large with a projected annual visitorship of 800,000. The waterpark will allow us to reach out to an untapped eco-tourism opportunity in the Southern Klang Valley region in line with Tourism Selangor’s plan,” said Chu Wai Lune, Chief Operating Officer of Gamuda Land.

Gamuda Cove is located along the ELITE Expressway, between the Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands and the Kuala Langat Forest Reserves. It is close to both international airports; the KLIA and KLIA2.

SplashMania will be shaded by more than 1,500 trees including native and endangered tree species that will provide respite from Malaysia’s tropical climate.

At the unveiling ceremony, Sanjay Nadarajah, General Manager (Leisure & Hospitality) of Gamuda Land, said, “Where Nature Meets Fun’ forms the essence of SplashMania Waterpark. Taking into consideration the natural setting of the waterpark and the surrounding wetlands, we ensured that we dedicate 70% of the waterpark to green spaces.”

The rides and slides in SplashMania are designed by Polin Waterparks and ProSlide Technology who are trusted global leaders as slide developers with exceptional technology and innovative safety records.

The Shaka Waka is a 78-meter-long multimedia and audio waterslide fitted with various LED light effects which can be customised by each individual rider prior to entry to the attraction before splashing in the pool at the end.

SplashMania Waterpark will play host to 39 rides and attractions and will feature the first-of-its-kind waterslides in Malaysia.

The Wild Rush waterslide is a mix of back-to-back curves, drops, and vortex loops, quickly accelerating vertical and compound curves throughout the ride from start to finish, which is a 3.35-meter-deep pool.

Meanwhile, the Atlantis VR is an immersive experience beyond just the ordinary waterslide rides. Guests will be presented with a Virtual Reality headgear and imagine being in a completely different world as they begin their 250-meter virtual journey through the Lost City of Atlantis.

As part of the preview, Gamuda Land announced that it will introduce its GL Play mobile application when the waterpark opens as part of the parks digitalisation efforts to offer convenience to its visitors and customers. When launched, customers would be able to purchase their tickets ahead of time via the application’s booking platform. It will also allow park goers to navigate through the waterpark using the park map feature and pre-order their F&B to avoid queues.

With more than 25 years of town-making experience, Gamuda Land has always invested upfront to ensure that its townships can stand the test of time. One of the key hallmarks for Gamuda Land is a central park in all of its township developments.

“By listening to what the land has to tell us, we are passionate about working with nature to restore the land to what it was before us – be it careful selection of native tree species, our target of planting 1 million trees, having permeable pathways to mitigate flood and more,” Chu explained.

In the last five years, Gamuda Land has also started investing upfront in placemaking – activating the places within its townships so the community will have places where they can come out, be in the embrace of nature and get to know their neighbours.

Launched in 2018, Gamuda Cove spans across 1,530 acres of mindfully planned township. Prior to delivery of its homes, Gamuda Land has ensured that the highway interchange is in place, a 60-acre pet-friendly central park is ready, tree-lined streets and dedicated bicycle tracks are ready.

The township also brings together natural attractions like the Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands, outdoor adventures such as the Goosebumps Rope Course and the Cove Aerobar in Discovery Park. The addition of SplashMania Waterpark will further enhance the vibrancy of Gamuda Cove.

This holiday season, A&W introduces a new flavourful twist in its menu, the Blue-Beary Burger series. Yes, as the name implies, they have blueberry jam in it.

The Blue-Beary Burger series features two types of burgers, one called the New Grilled Chicken and another one called the Double Juicy Beef Patty.

As I’m the type of person who loves to try out new or quirky flavours, I thought I’d give it a try.

The Taste Test

I got both of the burgers, one in a set and the other ala carte.

The burgers are not soggy because well, they just put a small dollop of that blueberry sauce. I was expecting the sauce to be oozing and dripping out of the burger like in the ad. But that’s okay, let’s give it a try first.

The blueberry sauce on the Double Juicy Beef Patty (left) and the New Grilled Chicken (right).

(Credit: Melissa Suraya Ismail / TRP)

At first bite of the chicken burger, I find the taste quite weird but acceptable. It was sour at first with just the sauce but then I got a taste of the sweet blueberries. The sweetness from the blueberries kinda overpowers the grilled chicken.

For the beef burger, I feel like the blueberry sauce actually goes well with the beef patty. The sweet and sour taste complements the savouriness of the beef patty. It’s actually quite good. It reminds me of the lingonberry jam.

Although there’s only a few blueberries (left), they certainly bring out the sweetness. You can upgrade your fries to a curly one for RM1 and your Root Beer to a float for RM1.50.

(Credit: Melissa Suraya Ismail / TRP)

The price for a Blue-Beary Chicken combo is RM17.90 while the Double Juicy Beef Patty is RM19.90. They come with a side of fries and a rootbeer. You can choose the Lite Combo if you want a light meal without the fries.

The Verdict

I would say that the flavour is a bit quirky. The jam itself may be fine but together with the fruits? It’s a tad too sweet. Now I know why they just put a dollop of those. It would be a dessert if they add on the sauce too much.

Nevertherless, it’s an acquired taste. I’d give the New Grilled Chicken a 5/10 while the Double Juicy Beef Patty a 7/10.

(Credit: Melissa Suraya Ismail / TRP)

To compare, if you like the Swedish meatballs with the savoury gravy and lingonberry jam or the breakfast McMuffin together with the grape jam, then these burgers are for you. It’s just a bit sweeter, that’s all.

The Blue-Beary Burger series is available at all A&W outlets near you for a limited time only so go and try it now.

As reported by Astro Awani, 62-year-old Aziz Tambi pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court in Ayer Keroh, Melaka today to shooting his neighbour’s cat to death with an air gun, causing the animal unnecessary harm and suffering on 18 June this year.

Cars dominated social media conversations over the recent long weekend, beginning with the Sultan of Brunei who surprised everyone by getting behind the wheels himself and driving Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to Seri Perdana in Putrajaya upon the former’s arrival for a visit here.

Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah decided to drive the car himself after arriving at the Royal Malaysian Air Force base in Subang, with Anwar in the front passenger seat.

According to Bernama, Pengiran Muda Abdul Mateen Bolkiah, the Sultan’s son, was also in the vehicle.

The vehicle, a BMW, was escorted to Putrajaya from the RMAF base 41 kilometres away by a team of outriders and security vehicles.

Anwar was present to greet the Brunei ruler and his delegation earlier. Zuki Ali, the Chief Secretary, was also present.

The army’s guard of honour, led by Faudzi Che Hashim, was observed by the sultan.

Anwar and Sultan Hassanal had their first encounter following Anwar’s election as the tenth prime minister.

Malaysia and Brunei have a longstanding, special relationship based on their shared heritage, culture, and interpersonal connections.

Anwar turned down Mercedes S600 limo ordered by PMD

Still on the subject of cars, Anwar took to social media to say that he had declined the use of a Mercedes-Benz S600 limousine purchased by the Prime Minister’s Department prior to his appointment.

He had stated that no new official car would be purchased for his use, and that no renovations would be carried out at his office, as part of a new culture against wastage of public funds that everyone must practise.

The Mercedes has not arrived yet, so I’m using this (Toyota Camry), okay? (I’ll just use) any car that’s available

he said in jest to reporters outside PKR headquarters here where Anwar, as Pakatan Harapan chairman, attended a coalition meeting.

Actually, this (the S-class Mercedes) was ordered by a previous prime minister, but I checked to see whether we could cancel. (Thankfully) we could.

he added

According to Berita Harian, the purchase of the Mercedes was proposed during the Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin administration and then approved by Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s administration.

Not only Anwar, but Ismail Sabri also rejected the new government car

Anwar’s refusal to use the Mercedes-Benz S600 limousine however was nothing extraordinary, said Datuk Ruhaidini Abd Kadir.

The former Director of Media and Strategic Communications to Ismail Sabri said the latter had also once refused to use the bulletproof vehicle provided by the government for him.

He stated that Ismail Sabri also refused to approve the application to modify the special aircraft (Perdana 1) for the Prime Minister’s official use.

Ismail Sabri also continued to live in a private house and chose not to move in to Seri Perdana, even though the Prime Minister’s official residence had been renovated.

Throughout his tenure as Prime Minister, Ismail Sabri was more comfortable using the multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) used by the previous administration

Datuk Ruhaidini Abd Kadir, said on a Facebook post

Perikatan Nasional (PN) in Pahang has accused Barisan Nasional (BN) of being greedy because it wants the position of Menteri Besar.

In addition, BN also wants seven exco seats if it forms a state government with the coalition.

Pahang PN chairman Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah also claimed that Pahang BN only agreed to give one exco seat to PN.

He claimed that the matter proved that BN is greedy and wanted to ignore the people’s mandate.

The party that received the biggest mandate from the people of Pahang is PN. That is the will of the people that needs to be respected.

Pahang PN chairman, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah on why he thinks Pahang BN is asking too much.

In last Saturday’s 15th General Election (GE15), Pahang PN won 17 seats in the State Legislative Assembly (DUN).

Pahang BN won 16 seats, and Pakatan Harapan (PH) won eight seats, which means no party obtained a simple majority to form the government.

Any party must win 22 state assembly seats to obtain a simple majority to form the state government.

Therefore, it depends on the negotiations carried out by the three parties concerned, namely PN, BN and PH, in forming the government.

Commenting further, the former foreign minister claimed he did not know what kind of goodies PH agreed to offer BN.

I hope there are no deviant things offered for the sake of power and position.

Pahang PN chairman, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah on the deal between BN and PH.

Both sides are set to clash again in the upcoming Tioman state seat election, postponed to 7 December.

Meanwhile, netizens said Saifuddin should look at himself in the mirror before criticising BN.

They reminded the Indera Mahkota MP that he was part of the infamous Sheraton Move, which toppled the PH government in 2020.

A day after Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was sworn in as the 10th prime minister of Malaysia, several Barisan Nasional and PAS members were spotted gathering at the Tropicana Golf Resort in Petaling Jaya.

The gathering was allegedly held from 10.30am until 12pm and rumours quickly sprung that the group was plotting to defect ala the Sheraton Move.

As such, the recent gathering among BN and PAS members was dubbed the Tropicana Move.

— CIKY🔺NIE () November 26, 2022

According to Malaysiakini, 10 BN and PAS members allegedly attended the meeting.

Among those who were spotted at the golf club were former prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, BN treasurer-general Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, Ketereh Umno chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa, PAS secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan, MCA president Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong, and Annuar’s aide Datuk Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz.

According to Malay Mail, Ismail Sabri dismissed the allegations and said it was a meeting between friends.

He said it was a farewell gathering with former Prime Minister’s Office staff members and lamented that he couldn’t see his friends anymore without being accused of planning to topple the government.

Nowadays, I can’t even meet my friends. One becomes a traitor when he meets with PAS friends, but turns into a saviour when he meets [Pakatan Harapan] leaders. This is crazy.

Former prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri

He also called out his party members for dividing the party with slanders.

There were even rumours that former health minister Khairy Jamaluddin is plotting to take on Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. Umno leaders slander each other and even divide the party, just because [some] want to support certain people to become the prime minister and form a government.

Former prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri

Former transport minister Wee also rubbished the allegations and said he was there to have dim sum brunch with two friends in a Chinese restaurant.

He claimed to have spotted Ismail Sabri’s bodyguard and went over to say hello. Wee also questioned how a meeting could have occurred when Ismail Sabri was there on his own.

He maintained that MCA accepted the decision made by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to form a unity government and told everyone to move on.

Meanwhile, Annuar claimed he was there to play golf.
