Hello filmmakers, today Hollywood Casting and Film -an LA based media and production company is launching a new creative filmmaking residency called The Slate, a program designed to help creative filmmakers get a leg up in the TV/Film Industry.
The mission of The Slate is to find the next generation of elite filmmakers, and then pair them up with established mentors currently working in the TV/Film industry, as a way to introduce creatives to future employers through their work.
Currently, we're looking for talented and experienced filmmakers in either Chicago or the Midwest, who has already shot a few short films, and is adept at writing, shooting, and editing.
If accepted into our program, you'll work closely with Slate Program director Lisa Crnic (producer, Clifford the Big Red Dog), and a handful of industry pros to ensure that during our program, you're able to produce work that opens professionals doors in the TV/Film industry.
NOTE- all Resident Filmmakers will be required to write, shoot, and edit their own film during this program.
