Character design is paramount in the world of illustration, bringing personality, background, and visual appeal to a story.

added so much value to ’s next children’s book, 𝑻𝒉𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒘 𝑬𝒈𝒈𝒔 by Christin James, by developing this quirky wren. “It was a fun challenge creating expressions with a beak instead of a mouth and a white marking instead of a true eyebrow.”

Celebrating 75 years of the Cace family legacy with these two scrappy restaurateurs through publishing their gourmet cookbook is an honor. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒂𝒄𝒆’𝒔 is a multi-generational collection of recipes savored at their family and restaurant tables and the memories surrounding them.

In 2015, Cathy and Chelsea reinvigorated an inheritance of hospitality and the gift of preparing delicious seafood left by Johnny Cace with Cace’s Kitchen; a casual eatery, “grab & go” distributor, catering service, and gourmet mail-order foods.

These fierce women turned an heirloom into a thriving and fulfilling enterprise, delighting tastebuds nationwide! I can’t wait to share their stories and their recipes! 😋🤍📖

Introducing ’s newest children’s book author, Christin James!

Christin loves all things creative and adventurous. She cleverly transformed her hobbies into careers, spanning from fashion to organization to writing, while traveling the country with her high school-sweetheart-turned-husband and three children. Christin is a Texas native, but during her 23 years of marriage to Retired Army LTC James, they have moved 14 times, resided in six states, visited 42 states, and explored 10 national parks and countless museums.

She earned a BS in Sociology from Tarleton State University and currently lives in Kansas City, Missouri.

Her children’s book will be released later this year in memorial of her mother, Cathy Hoskins.
