TRIVIA TIME
This weekend our next episode drops. Our guest for World Famous in Newfoundland is singer songwriter Pamela Morgan who many of you will know from the groundbreaking band Figgy Duff. Formed in 1976, the band went through many members through the years with the core of the group being Noel Dinn and Pamela Morgan. Sadly, Dinn died in 1993 but not before leaving a lasting legacy on the Newfoundland music scene. Figgy Duff’s distinctive blend of traditional and contemporary music set them apart from the rest. They were the first to collect old songs and tunes from around the province, performing them in new musical settings that included drums, amplifiers and electric guitars paving the way for many of the bands we all enjoy today. The legacy of Figgy Duff cannot be overstated.
